I stepped out of the shower, water droplets still clinging to my skin. Wrapping a towel around my waist, I caught a glimpse of my reflection in the foggy mirror.

The excitement bubbled up inside me as I realized that tonight was the night. I was going to be with Sam, officially back together.

I quickly changed into my most comfortable pajamas, feeling the soft fabric against my skin. It was like slipping into a cozy cocoon, a perfect match for the warmth that filled my heart.

Then I grabbed an overnight bag.

As I packed my bag, thoughts of Sam consumed my mind. Every item I placed in the bag was a reminder of the moments we would share together.

Zipping up the bag, I couldn't help but pause and let the happiness wash over me. The anticipation of being with Sam again, the joy of having her back in my life, it was an indescribable feeling.

I couldn't wipe the smile off my face as I thought about the memories we would create tonight.

I felt the weight of excitement and love grow stronger. And it made me feel so giddy.

Tonight was going to be special, and I couldn't wait to be in Sam's arms. The thought of being with her again made my heart soar, and I knew that this time, things were going to be even better than before. We are going to be alright and there won't be anymore drama.

With my bag ready to go, I grabbed it and then put it over my shoulder. I walked out of my room and headed to where the kitchen and living room was located.

My mom still isn't home, she's at work so I would have to let her know in someway what's going on so I don't worry her.

I grabbed a piece of paper and a pen and wrote her a note. I'm basically telling my mom that I'm going over to Sam's house and most likely spending the night. Hence, the bag that I have with me.

Satisfied with my note to my mom, I put it on the counter and I was then ready to completely go.

I grabbed my car keys, heading out the front door and to my own car.

The night breeze hit my face immediately when I was outside, and it gave such a calm feeling that even I would have to take a moment to enjoy it.

Just as I reached my car and got into the driver's seat. My phone started to ring.

I looked at who was calling me and I instantly smiled.

It's Sam, of course.

Quickly, I answered with a smile, "Hey, beautiful."

She giggled. "Hey, handsome. Are you on your way?"

"Yeah, I just got into the car. Why? What's up?"

"I just wanted to tell you that I have everything set up." She said, "I figured that we can watch a movie and just cuddle. Maybe even kiss too. I ordered a pizza and there's some candy too."

It's a cute little date. But I feel like that's so us because this whole thing between Sam and I started with a movie. And it seems so comforting because it's not over the top. It was simple and perfect.

"That sounds absolutely perfect." I beamed, "But I do have a question.."

"Which is?"

"How were you able to get everything set up when it's been about half an hour since we were all at the dojo?"

"My family and I quickly left after that.." I can hear her shrug, "Then I told them what's going to happen and they're fine with it. My parents will be going to bed and Anthony will most likely play video games until he gets tired or something."
