*Sam's P.O.V*
My eyes were constantly on Eli when he had entered the Cobra Kai dojo. He was over in the corner, all focused and doing his stretches, getting ready for his fight against Kenny.
Man, he looked so determined, like nothing else in the world mattered to him at that moment. I couldn't help but admire his dedication and how seriously he took his karate.
As I stood there, watching him, I couldn't help but hope that he would glance my way, you know? But nope, he was in his own zone, completely focused on the task at hand.
It's like he didn't even notice me standing there. But you know what? I was still happy for him. Happy that he made his return to karate and was participating in the boys' fight.
Seeing him like that, all serious and determined, it brought back memories of how far he's come. I remember when he was too scared and didn't have a lot of confidence, but now here he is, all confident and ready to take on Kenny.
It made me proud to see him pushing past his fears and proving to himself that he's stronger than he thinks.
I know the fight against Kenny won't be easy. Kenny's tough, no doubt about it. But watching Eli, I couldn't help but believe in him.
I know he's going to give it his all, no matter what. And win or lose, I'll be right there, cheering him on and proud of the fighter he's become.
"Eli Moskowitz and Kenny Payne, please come onto the mat." The representative said
I watched as Eli walked onto the mat, feeling confident as he's getting ready for this fight.
Eli and Kenny both bowed to the referee before they bowed to each other and then the fight started.
I watched as Eli quickly moved out of the way as Kenny went for a kick. Then he easily blocked Kenny's punches before Kenny had laid a kick to his side.
"Point! 1-0, Payne." The referee said.
Eli didn't completely lose focus, he continued to look confident. He wasn't going to give up.
Their match had started back up and Eli blocked two kicks that Kenny tried to hit and then Eli jumped into the air, while doing a spin, and then he landed a kick on Kenny.
I smiled and cheered once he got the point but then I wasn't smiling a second later.
"Out of bounds." The referee shouted. "No point."
What?
"What? What, are you serious?" Eli shouted, in disbelief.
"Ref, that's horseshit. He made contact in bounds." Johnny then shouted.
"No point. Back on the line." The referee shouted at Johnny.
What the hell is going on?
The match continued and Eli blocked two kicks that Kenny sent, then he dodged the third one. Then he blocked another kick from Kenny before throwing a punch and Kenny blocked the punch.
It went back and forth for a little bit before Eli went for a knee and Kenny caught, and then he jabbed his hand into the back of Eli's knee.
Eli let out a yell of pain as he fell to the ground.
"That's a warning." The referee said.
"Warming? He should be disqualified." I heard my dad say.
Eli went over to my dad, Johnny, and Chozen.
"Are you okay?" My dad asked him.
"I'm fine. He just caught me off guard."
"Are you sure, Eli?"
