Chapter 36: Drive In

*Eli's P.O.V*

"Is anybody else here?" I asked Sam as we arrived at the drive-in.

I watched as she would look from left to right and then she said, "I see Demetri right over there."

I looked in the direction of where she's eyeing Demetri and I see that he's on his phone, standing by someone's car. It could've been Nate's or even Bert's. I don't really know.

Sam and I both got out of my car and we walked towards Demetri and he noticed us as we approached him.

"Hey, guys." He said.

"Hey, man." I smiled at him.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Sam asked.

"I was just giving Yasmine a quick call."

"Did you invite her and is she coming?" Sam asked.

"She's busy tonight." My binary brother said, "She has to get ready for some stuff involving family. She said that she will tell me all about it soon."

I'm not exactly sure what's going on with Yasmine but I'm sure soon enough, Demetri will tell me about it. When he eventually finds out, of course.

"And how are you guys doing?"

"We're doing great." I nodded, and then I grabbed Sam's hand, "We've been spending a lot of time together."

"And still nothing from Miguel?" He asked.

"He doesn't want us to keep apologizing." Sam shook her head, "But I did tell him that he has to remember that we're on the same side, in the same dojo. I'm just not wanting Cobra Kai to see a crack in our dojo."

"That will certainly be bad." Demetri said as he looked in a direction.

When Sam and I followed where Demetri's eyes landed, we all had seen Miguel with other members of the Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang dojo. This is the first time in days where Sam and I are in the same place as Miguel. I mean, you can count school if you want but this is different. Plus, this is a group thing.

"He'll come around." I heard Demetri assure Sam and I.

"It's been days since I talked to him." Sam said to Demetri and I, "I can only hope that he has been thinking about what I told him."

"He can't be mad forever." I said.

"I'm gonna head to the bathroom real quick and then possibly get some food. See you guys in a bit." Sam said and then she walked in a different direction.

"So, how was the kid's birthday party?"

I shrugged. "The food was good, the cake was good, the company was good. The only bad thing about it is that Sam got into a glitter war with Tory."

"She saw Tory?" Demetri made a face.

"She saw Tory. I saw Tory. Everyone saw Tory. I just sensed that trouble would happen when Tory made her appearance." I explained.

I'm still not exactly sure what happened. All I know is that Sam was near Tory and then Tory had a group of kids throw cups of glitter at Sam. I wouldn't get an explanation from my girlfriend about what caused it to happen but I'm sure she did something while I was on the phone with my mom.

"Hence the glitter." He pointed out.

"Yeah." I nodded.

"What do you think happened between Sam and Tory?"

"I'm sure Sam said something to piss her off."

"Are you mad at Sam for what she did?" He then asked.
