*Eli's P.O.V*

Sam is currently busy with her friends that I ended up being by myself for the next few hours.

I went for a drive to clear my head because I couldn't stop thinking about what's going on between Miguel and I. The intense tension whenever we see each other. He can barely look at me.

The way I've tried to message him and he doesn't reply back to me. Yes, he's that mad at me.

And while I was taking a drive, I ended up at Sam's house even though she's not here.

Maybe it's the comfort of her own home that helps me whenever I'm in a bad situation.

I know that's weird because we just started dating but still.

But either way, I got out of my car once it was parked and I walked up to the front porch of Sam's house. I knocked on it and waited a few seconds before I was face to face with Daniel LaRusso himself.

"Hey, Hawk." Daniel said, "Sam isn't here."

"I know." I nodded. "I just ended up coming here while I was taking a drive."

"Is everything okay?"

"With Sam, yes. With other things, not so much."

Daniel had a look of concern on his face, "If you want, you can come inside and we can talk about it. I'm not working at the dealership today."

"Are you sure?" I asked him.

"Yeah, I'm sure." He answered before he let me inside the house.

He closed the door and we walked towards the kitchen because I'm guessing that was where he was at before I came to pay the LaRusso's a visit.

"Do you want anything to drink?" He then asked.

"A water is fine." I said as I sat down at the kitchen table.

He filled a class cup with some water before he put it in front of me and then he sat down at the kitchen table as well.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"It's something you already know.." I started to explain, "The whole thing with Miguel. I hate knowing that he's mad at me. I've already said that I feel guilty about lying to him but it's not easy to say what's going on at times. You know what I mean?"

"Yeah, I know what you mean."

"Did something happen to you before?" I asked.

"It's a different kind of situation, Hawk, but-" he started to say but I quickly stopped him.

"You don't have to call me Hawk. Eli is just fine."

Daniel smiled before he continued, "When I first moved to California, I had to start at a new school. And that's never easy. But back then, I'll always get beaten up by Johnny and Cobra Kai. I didn't want my mom to find out so I kept it a secret. Until it wasn't a secret anymore and she found out. I could've gone back home to Jersey but I wanted to stand up for myself and not let Johnny tear me down. So I learned karate and was able to win the All Valley tournament back in '84."

"And I stood up for myself against Miguel when he chose to fight me. But I don't want to fight my best friend." I said as I sighed.

"Miguel just needs time and soon enough, you two would be on the same page again."

"You believe that can happen?"

Daniel nodded. "Yeah, I do."

I shrugged, "Maybe."
