After training, Miguel and I went to pick up some pizza before heading back to my house. We started to eat the food as we were playing video games.

We were in my basement so that we can just get away from the outside world.

My mom is still at work so it's only the two of us at the house.

The only sounds that you can hear is the clicking of the game console, the noise from the tv screen and then our constant yelling.

It vibrated throughout the house. I'm sure if my mom was home, she would tell us to calm down while we were playing. That would sometimes happen whenever Demetri and I would play video games.

Soon enough, the game ended and he was counted the winner.

"I just won another game." He laughed, "I think you're losing your touch."

"Nah." I shook my head. "I'm just letting you get a few lucky wins before I eventually kick your ass."

He let out a chuckle. "We'll see about that."

I started to set up another game before he said, "Hey, I'm going to use your bathroom real quick."

"Yeah, go ahead."

He went to handle his business in the bathroom and I stayed in the basement by myself. I took another bite of the pepperoni pizza and then took a sip of the root beer that we were also drinking.

But then my phone went off. I saw that it's a message from Sam.

Sam👑💜: Hey, how's it going?

Me: It's going fine right now. He's using the bathroom at the moment.

To me, it felt weird having Miguel here. Even though, I love hanging out with him.

It's only because I'm dating his ex-girlfriend and I hate knowing that I'm hiding this secret from him. But I have no other choice right now.

Yeah, he's gonna have to find out but now is not the time.

Then I saw Sam had messaged me back.

Sam👑💜: Maybe soon he'll leave? That way I can come over.

Me: He'll probably leave soon. I'll let you know when it happens.

Sam👑💜: Okay, sounds good. See you later.

Me: See you soon, princess. 💕

After I sent that message, Miguel came back from the bathroom and I immediately hid my phone.

"Woah, what are you hiding?" He asked as he sat back on the couch.

"Nothing." I answered quickly.

"Are you texting a girl?"

"Possibly." I chuckled, nervously.

"Have you started talking to Moon again?" He gave me that look.

And you know what look I'm talking about, right? Where they kind of raise their eyebrows and then give a smirk at you. Usually, people would get annoyed by that look.

Trust me, I'm one of them.

"What makes you think it's Moon?"

"It's pretty obvious." He laughed, "Everyone knows how much you miss her."

He couldn't be any further away from the truth. Sure, I miss Moon but as a good friend. I don't miss her as a girlfriend. I'm with Sam now.

Which is something Miguel doesn't know.
