Chapter 56: Triumph & Turmoil

*Eli's P.O.V*

It's officially time for the finals.

It's myself versus Robby Keene. The person who attacked me at the park and then cut off some of my hair. He laughed about it. He loved seeing me suffer. He loved seeing my misery.

And sure, whatever. Robby may love those things but there's something that I'm going to love. And it's taking that All Valley championship. Something he's gonna wish he had.

Once he loses, maybe it'll humble him because he has been acting like an ass ever since he has joined Cobra Kai.

As Johnny Lawrence once said, Cobra Kai can make you strong and badass but it can also turn you into an asshole.

And the asshole is standing across from me, getting ready for the beat down that I'm about to give him.

"This is my chance to get back at Robby for what he did to me." I said.

Then I heard Daniel say, "This fight is not about him. The biggest battle is always the one within. Okay, concentrate, defense, focus, power. You find your balance, and those points will come. All right?"

I nodded and then started to take my place on the mat, across Robby.

We both bowed to the referee before we bowed to each other and then the fight started.

I immediately blocked a kick when he went for it and he did the same thing too when I went for a kick as well. I blocked upcoming punches that Robby was doing before he hit me in the torso with a punch.

I called a time out before going back to Mr. LaRusso.

"He knows all my moves. He trained at Miyagi-Do way longer than me."

Daniel took a look at Sam and Demetri before facing me.

"And you were in Cobra Kai longer than him." He said, "You know each other's karate better than anyone. Put him on defense."

I nodded before bowing to my sensei and then I went back onto the mat, ready to win this fight.

I went for a kick before going for punched and then my elbow. Robby went for a punch but I stopped it and he did the same thing when I went for a kick.

Then together, we both jumped into the air but I was the one able to send the first kick and I got my first point.

The crowd roared with excitement as I scored the point and I can see Sam out of the corner of my eye, cheering for me.

Her cheering for me gave me more of a boost.

When the fight continued, I went for a kick when I took a leap in the air but he caught hold it my leg and then threw me on the ground. I dodged a punch coming my way and then stopped a kick that was coming right after.

Then we both blocked each other's kicks.

I used my arm to block a kick from Robby and then he started to use Miyagi-Do once when I started throwing punches. Then he stepped out of the way when I threw a kick.

Once again, I jumped while going for a kick but Robby blocked it as he went to the ground.

Then I dodged out of the way when he threw a punch.

I got taken down by Robby when I tried to grab hold of him but then I stopped anything from happening.

I blocked a series of punches a kicks from him before he threw another kick towards me and I blocked it. Then I went for a swing but he ducked out of the way.

My own kicks then got blocked.

When I stopped a kick and then went for my own kick, I saw Robby's top part of his karate gi come undone.
