*Sam's P.O.V*
"There's no way this goes right at all." Demetri tells me as he's sitting in the driver's seat of his car.
"We have to give it a try." I looked at him, "Even though it could end in disaster."
After texting Eli about training with Johnny, it gave me some relief that maybe the training won't involve dogs or cement trucks. But it didn't stop me from thinking that we're about to do something dangerous.
It made me have a nervous feeling in my stomach.
But as I've said, I'm going to have an open mind.
Or at least try to have an open mind.
"Let's just get this over with." Demetri said as we got out of his car and then walked towards Johnny who was coming out of his van.
"Let's get started." Johnny said as he started to walk towards a building.
Demetri and I shared a look with each other but followed the blonde hair man to the building and up the stairs that was leading us to the top of the roof, I'm guessing.
This could go in one way or another.
"Where is he taking us?" Nate asked.
"Nowhere good." Demetri answered, "I heard he drowned a kid in a pool, trying to teach him how to kick, and that was before he sicced a rabid dog on Eli."
So yeah, Eli wasn't lying about how Johnny used dogs for their training before. It didn't sound good, to be honest.
"This does not bode well." Demetri then said.
"Let's go, Miyagis. Move your asses." We heard Johnny yell.
We all had sighed but continued to follow Johnny to the top of the roof.
When we got there, we started to walk towards the edge and I saw bed mattresses on the bottom. What the hell?
Instant fear begin to show on my face as I saw the display in front of me. What was Johnny about to have us do?
I was actually afraid to find out.
Demetri then said, "Oh God. I'm tired of being right."
"What are we doing here?" I asked Johnny.
Might as well get to the point.
"When an eagle's hungry, it doesn't hesitate. It'll dive down at 100 miles an hour to snatch its prey. Doesn't wait around for a fish to jump in its feet." Johnny explained.
"Talons." Demetri corrected him.
"It's not talent. It's instinct." Johnny said, clearly not understanding what Demetri meant. Then he continued, "An Eagle knows it has to make the first move. If you want to beat Cobra Kai in the All Valley, you gotta break yourself of this wait-and-see crap."
"How exactly are we gonna do that?" I eyed him.
"You're gonna jump from this roof to that roof." Johnny said as he pointed to the roof we're standing on and then the roof next to it.
My eyes widened as he said that. I'm so surprised that he even suggested such a thing.
"What? Are you crazy?" I said in disbelief, still surprised by Johnny's suggestion.
"That building is, like, five Nates away and we're at least 14 Nates high." Demetri said.
"Please don't use me as a system of measurement." Nate said to Demetri.
"Quiet!" Johnny yelled and we all turned to look at him.
"If you wanna be an Eagle, first you gotta learn how to fly." Johnny said, "And you can't do that unless you jump."
