*Hawk's P.O.V*
When it was the next day, I was determined.
After the conversation with Sam and my emotional breakdown, I shook off the sad feelings before getting to work.
Sensei had said that talk is cheap and Sensei LaRusso had said that I burned bridges with everyone.
So I thought no more burnt bridges.
It's time to make a new bridge.
So that's what I'm going to do.
I went to work and started to build the thing when I was on my laptop. I must've worked on it for hours because I was exhausted by the time that I finished.
And I had sent the design to Demetri so that he can check it out. He would be able to give me an honest opinion about what I worked on.
He told me that the physics checked out and it was good to go.
And with it all ready to go, I got ready to go to the dojo the next day with a sledgehammer in my hand.
I walked past Miguel and Sam as they were in Sensei LaRusso's yellow 1947 Ford Super De Luxe.
Should I be worried about how both of them were in the car? Did something happen?
"What's up, Hawk?" Miguel shouted but I ignored him.
When I got to the back of the dojo, I immediately hit one of the fences with the sledgehammer.
"Hawk, what are you doing?" Miguel asked.
I turned around to see Miguel and Sam.
"I'm not destroying the dojo if that's what you guys think." I started to say, "I had an idea. I decided to build a sparring deck that was in the building so that we're able to train. There's enough room here where we could build one. We just need to knock down more fences."
"Does the rest of the dojo know?" He then asked.
"Yeah, we do." Another voice said.
Miguel and Sam turned around to see Demetri, Chris, Penis Breath, Nate, Bert and other students that I don't know their names.
"We're ready to get to work." Demetri said.
"Great." I smiled. "There's a bunch of tools over there. We need to take out a whole bunch of weeds and make enough room before we start putting pieces of wood together."
"Let's get to it." Chris said as he grabbed a tool.
So everyone started to get to work.
I was getting ready to knock down some more fences so I had the sledgehammer all prepared.
"All right, stand back. It's coming down." I smiled as I hit the fence with the sledgehammer, making it hit the ground.
"Hey! What are you doin?" Sensei LaRusso asked as he approached me with Johnny by his side.
I looked at both him and Johnny before answering, "You both were right. Talk is cheap. So I'm building a bridge."
Demetri came forward, "More specifically an Okinawan sparring deck."
He showed them the design, "Eli's a design whiz. I looked it over and the physics checked out."
"Mr. Miyagi used this area for extra storage, but a new deck would mean a lot more room for training." Sam explained to her dad.
Even when Sam and I are keeping our distance from each other, she'll still side by me.
"And we're all gonna help build it." Miguel said, "Assuming our senseis approve?"
