*Sam's P.O.V*
I said thank you to the guard after he checked my backpack and I entered the school very early in the morning. There's still a bit of time before class starts so I figured that I could use this time to try and find Miguel and then talk to him.
I might have better luck talking to Miguel than my own boyfriend does. But it doesn't mean that I'm off the hook either. Miguel has a right to be mad at me as well.
Walking down the hallway, I immediately went to his locker because I'm sure that's where he'll be. Since he always has to get something out of his locker before we go to homeroom.
When I was close to Miguel's locker, I did see him there. But I can tell that he's still not feeling too happy about what happened. His body language says it all. He's completely sulking and acting like he doesn't want to be at school and that's understandable. But he doesn't want to be anywhere near Eli or myself.
I slowly walked up to him and then said, "Hi, Miguel."
Once he heard my voice, he turned his head but he didn't seem happy to see me, "Hi, Sam."
"Can we talk about what happened?" I asked.
"We have nothing to talk about." He said as he grabbed his binder before closing his locker.
"Yes, we have tons to talk about." I said and then followed him because he started to walk away from his locker. Walking away from me.
"You may have tons to talk about but I don't."
It does break my heart because he's feeling this way and myself with Eli is the cause of this. But again, he did say that he wants us to be friends. He can't be mad.
"Will you please listen to me?" I begged him.
He stopped walking as soon as he heard my soft voice. He must've noticed that I'm being serious about this conversation. In which, yeah, I am. Let's get this whole thing talked out and get back to being on the same page of this karate rivalry.
Miguel turned back around, "I'll give you five minutes."
I had a small smile on my face as soon as he said that and we went to stand by the side of the school hallway that's full of school students.
"I know you must feel uncomfortable because I'm dating your best friend. But I really have had a crush on Hawk since we broke up at the canyon." I started to explain.
"Even when you were kissing Robby a few times?" He raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah." I nodded, "I kept this secret to myself for a long time until I told Moon about it."
"How does Moon feel about you dating her ex?"
"She's not mad at me." I said, seriously, "She is okay with me dating Hawk. She gave me her permission."
"And then you and Hawk just expect me to be okay with you guys dating?" He asked, looking bewildered.
I can see that he's trying to make a point.
"We told you that we're sorry, Miguel." I said.
"Sorry doesn't fix everything, Sam, and you know that."
I'm starting to feel like whatever I say, it won't get through to him. He'll continue to feel this way and then continue to be mad at Eli. He'll let his anger get the best of him and that's not good. We need to overcome this situation or else we'll crumble and Cobra Kai will see that.
And plus, him telling me that sorry doesn't fix everything, it kind of brought me back to a conversation that Miguel and I once had.
Those words weren't exactly said but at the canyon, he accidentally hit me when he tried hitting Robby. Then he kept saying sorry and even said it at the tournament. But even when he said it, I didn't forgive him.
