*Flashblack
"So what do you think about marriage and children" I asked Jason. We were getting to know each other better and he was a great friend to me.
"I mean I never really saw that in my future. Gotta find me the right woman who goin put up with me" he said as he laid on my couch as I sat in the next chair.
"Whats so hard about putting up you J" I asked laughing a little. He kept me guessing.
"See I'm not a normal type of nigga beautiful. I want my wife to be the type who laid back. Let me do what I gotta do. Don't be all over my back trying to be my mother. Gotta have skills in the kitchen. Oh and can't be nagging all the damn time. Just some one who is my friend but let me fuck on a daily basis" he said as I threw my pillow at him
"Jason you are so picky. What if you find her. What you goin do" I said looking at him
"See I don't even know if she even real. Females like that not even around" he said rubbing his chin
"What if they are. I mean hypothetically speaking what if she just hiding or you over looking her and she right in front of you." I said implying about myself
"I mean I got my eye on somebody but I don't think she feelin me like that so it is what it is" he said as my smile turned into a frown. Although I really liked him he had eyes for someone else. We were just friends so I shouldn't even be mad
"Oh that sucks. When you feelin someone and they focus on someone else." I said in a low voice
"But what you looking for in a husband since you all up in my damn business" he asked as I was ready for this night to be over.
"I just want someone who is honest. Someone who wants me for me. A man who is my best friend. Has to want children and believes in marriage as strongly as I do. But like you said who knows if that's possible right." I said cuddling with my pillow
"Now what if you over looking your man. He could be out there" he said winking at me
"Doubt it. But time will tell right" I responded as he walked over to me
"Sure will but let's make a bet" he said lifting my legs sitting down next to me placing my legs on his lap.
"Oh gosh here we go J" I said knowing he was about to say something crazy. He never held his tongue with me.
"Nah listen. If in a years you don't got a man I'll just marry you" he said as I almost fell out on the floor.
"Jason what's that a pitty marriage. Idk about this bet" I said laughing at him as he rubbed my legs.
"No it's me seeing how long it's goin take for you to realize that I'm what you need" I just rolled my eyes at him. Ok I had a huge crush on him but I couldn't just out and say it.
"Well I got one for you if you don't marry the girl you got your eye on then maybe I'll marry you" I said back in response winking at him
"I already know Imma win this bet" he said confidently
"How you so sure. You saying I can't get a man"
"One, I know you can pull a nigga trust me and two, the girl Imma marry is right in front of Me" he said as I blushed hard.
"Whatever Jason. See there you go always joking" I said as he got up and put his coat on to leave
"We'll see in a year" he said kissing my cheek as he walked out the door. This man was something else. I guess I would just have to wait to see what he was talking about.
*End of Flashblack......."Ma ma ma" Harley said as jumped in my bed waking me up from my dream We were now back home from our amazing honeymoon and it was back to mommy and daddy life for us.
"Yes my angel" I said as I looked over on Jason's side which was empty.
"Where is daddy Angel" I said getting up fixing my hair.
"Da da da da"she said excitedly rubbing her stomach. I knew what that meant. I smelled food cooking and picked up Harley to go downstairs. I saw a shirtless Jason in the kitchen cooking breakfast. A big smile came across my face as I stood there watching him.
"Baby why didn't you wake me up to make breakfast" I said as I sat Harley in her high chair. I always made breakfast for him every morning without fail.
"Good morning beautiful. And I wanted to let you sleep in" he said as he made his way over to me wrapping his arms around me.
"Next time wake me up Mr. Thomas" I said kissing his lips softly.
"Relax today baby let me do something for you" he said rubbing my now visible baby bump. He lead me to my seat and pulled out my chair as I sat down next to Harley. She was the happiest little girl I ever met. She was always smiling and I felt so good Everytime I saw that. Unlike my childhood she had 2 parents who kept her happy and loved.
"Here you go girls" Jason said bringing our plates to the table as he took a seat next to me. He made pancakes bacon and eggs. Jason wasn't a great cook but his breakfast was on point. I took what I could get.
"Thank you baby" I said as I cut up Harley's food in small pieces. We said grace as we ate and enjoyed our breakfast.
"I'll clean up J" I said collecting the plates as he took them out my hands.
"I'm taking care of all that beautiful. Go back to bed Imma be up there soon" he said kissing my cheek.
"Are you sure" even though I did this for him all the time I still felt bad when I left my stuff for him to do alone.
"Yes baby" he said as he spun me around towards the steps as he smacked my ass hard.
"That does hurt you know" soon as I said that Harley smacked Jason on his butt as I died laughing.
"That's right baby get daddy" I said as he grabbed her throwing her in the air.
"You pose to be on my side princess" he said kissing her chubby cheeks as she giggled loudly. I loved their bond. No one could tell her that this man wasn't the best thing on the planet.
"Lobe you da da" she said as she kissed his lips. It always warmed my heart at the fact that she was so affectionate and loving. I was nothing like that at her age. But it's all about the environment your raised around.
"Go with mommy princess" he said handing her to me as we walked up the stairs and got into bed. Her nap time was coming close.
"You sleepy angel" I said seeing her yawn climbing on me. She had so much energy and her naps were essential. She laid her little head on my chest as I rubbed her back rocking her gently. I turned on our favorite song. God made you beautiful by Beyoncé. I sang that to hear when she was a baby and now we sing it together every night before she went to bed.
"And your love it shines so bright you bring me back to life back to life you make everything right" I sang softly to her as she held my hand. God definitely made her beautiful. I was so grateful to be her mother and to have her with me everyday. She gave me the type of love that was irreplaceable. Harley had such a big personality but at the same time she had this calm spirit. Whenever I was mad or stressed I just looked at those big brown eyes and nothing could beat that. She was my piece of serenity. I loved that little girl with everything in me. I couldn't wait to bring another baby in the world.
I hummed the rest of the song as she dosed off. She had a tight grip on me so I just got comfortable with her in my arms and let her rest.
"She knocked out" Jason said as he got in the bed turning the lights off. I loved days like this. It was still early but we could spend all day in bed with each other.
"Yes you know that's her song" I said as I kissed her forehead.
"She something else" Jason said as he laid on the opposite side of my chest. I put my arms around them both.
"Babe remember when I was pregnant with her. It seem like time went by so fast." I said looking down at her
"Who you telling. I can't believe she this big already. That's my heart right here" he said placing his hand on top of ours.
"I carried her for 9 months gained 39lbs and pushed her out with no medication and she still said your name before mines. Damn shame" I said laughing. Harley said Ma ma a month after she said da da. I drilled my mane to her and all she kept saying was da da. She had a mind of her own.
"What can I say beautiful. She a smart child. She get that from me" he said smiling
"So what did she inherit from me" I said raising my eye brows at him
"See she got her looks from you beautiful. She is gorgeous " he said kissing my cheek as I blushed.
"Thank you baby" I said to me
"I wonder what this one goin be" he said rubbing my stomach relaxing me.
"I think it's a boy babe" I said feeling a bet coming on
"Nah baby you wrong this is a girl. Let's bet" he said as I shook my head. When Jason was confident about anything he made a bet and 9 times out of 10 he was actually right.
"Ok if this a girl then I'll buy you that new sports car you dying to get" his head popped up fast. I was against the car cause it was super fast and I was scared he would hurt himself but a bet was a bet.
"Word" he said smiling.
"Really J." I said giving him my hand.
"Ok if you right and it's a boy I'll read that dumb book you keep trying to push on me" he said as I gasp. My favorite book Ghost was about a family in the classic century time. It was a Shakespeare play.
"Baby that book is art. Ok you on" I said as he shook my hand. I just hoped this was a boy cause I sure as hell didn't wanna get him that damn car. But either way if my baby was healthy and breathing I would be ok. Harley filled a void in my life that I always searched for. She taught me so much about myself. She made me love Jason even more than I thought I could. I understood now what unconditional love was. No matter if me or Jason told her no she still said she loved us. When I disciplined her for doing something bad she still looked at me the same not faulting me. Harley had a heart of gold and I'm proud to say that she was mines. She had a mind of her own and she walked to the beat of her own drum. Iam madly in love with her and thank God every minute of the day for giving me her. My heart beats for her and Iam over joyed to know that in a few more months I will feel the same feeling 2 times. Love took over my life and I was finally seeing my purpose in life. Jason, Harley and my new blessing was all I needed.
