Chapter 8:Love Is In The Air

As I looked at the clock that read 8:50 I put the finishing touches on my outfit. I decided to wear some fitted light denim jeans a sheer button up white shirt and my cobalt pumps to compliment my over size cobalt leather skin clutch. As I was looking in the mirror fixing my curly loose waves I heard knocking at my door.
"I'm coming" I yelled out flicking my lights off and headed down the stairs
I took one last look at myself in the mirror as I opened my front door
"Damn beautiful" I heard Jason say as he looked me up and down
"Like what you see baby" I said teasing him doing a 360 spin so he could see everything
"Love what I see. And I like you calling me baby better" he said causing me to blush. We walked out the door and got into the car. His radio was playing smooth R&B and it was comfortably warm inside. As he drove I looked over at him and looked him over. He had a crisp cotton black shirt blue jeans and some fly shoes that went with his outfit. His gold watch glistened as he drove. And his cologne was intoxicating driving me crazy.
"J you look decent" I said smirking
"Oh just decent huh. Oh aight" he said with his eyes on the road grinning. As we drove we just sat in silence while the music came through the speakers. Even though no words were spoken it felt like our minds were talking to each. Every couple of minutes we would stare at each other when we thought the other wasn't looking.
"We here" he said pulling up to a very nice restaurant. Jason got out first and came to open my door. We walked hand and hand into the restaurant and was greeted by the hostess
"Good evening. Welcome to Lotus. Do you have reservations tonight" the hostess asked
"Yes. Thomas it's for 2"
"Yes sir. I see you right here" she said as she looked down at her book "follow me"
We walked to our table and got comfortable. I looked around at the place and it was just gorgeous. Dim lighting and high class.
"This is nice J." I said opening my menu
"you deserve it" he said staring at me. I felt his eyes burning a whole in my face.
"What are you looking at" I said blushing looking up at him
"My girl" he said confidently biting his lip
"Stop that" I couldn't even look at him. This man had me gone. Just as he was about to talk the waiter came over breaking the moment
"Hello my name is Brad and tonight I'll be taking care of you tonight. Our special today is grilled salmon with herb mashed potatoes and a Cesar salad which is very popular. So miss I'll start with you"
"I'll have a ice tea and lemonade mix please and I'll take the special. Sounds tempting" I said handing him my menu
"And for you sir"
"I'll take the steak and potatoes with broccoli please and a ginger ale" he said handing over his menu as the waiter left us alone
"This is my first actually date J" I said to him as he looked at me with a confused face
"That's crazy. I wouldn't have guess that. Thought niggas would be knocking down your door trying to take you out. But I'm glad I could be your first" he said grabbing my hand over the table
"They always wanted to say they would take me out but it never happened. But it was meant for you to be my first" I laughed as I rubbed his hand softly
"I can be your first for a lot if you let me" he said in a serious tone
"I will J. I will" I was getting lost in his eyes
"Come give me a kiss beautiful" Jason said as he leaned up across the table. I met his lips and gave him a kiss letting my lips just rest on his. I felt his tongue trying to enter my mouth and moved back smiling
"No J" I said wiping his lips off from my nude lipstick
"Aight you got it beautiful" he said kissing my fingers as I finished removing my lipstick from his lips.
"Ok here you guys are. The salmon for the lady and the steak for the gentleman. Let me know if you guys need anything" our waiter said as he brought our food and drinks to the table. We thanked him and began eating.
"This is good" I said eating my salmon enjoying every bite.
"It looks good too" Jason said eating his meal
"Here try it" I said feeding him a piece of my salmon
"You right it is good" he said chewing his food. We talked and laughed during our meal and just enjoy each other's company.

"Well I hope you enjoyed yourself" Jason said pulling into my driveway and helping me out the car.
"Oh I did trust me" I said walking to my front door and facing him
"I'm glad you did beautiful. I enjoyed our first date and you looked gorgeous if I didn't already tell you" he said grabbing my waist
"You did J but thank you again. I always have a good time with you" I said wrapping my hands around him.
"I guess this where I let you go huh" he said to me. I wanted him to stay but the way I was feeling sexually towards him was off the charts. If he stayed I was sure we would be all over each other and sex would come about. Tonight wasn't the night. Not just yet.
"Yes sir. But call me when you get home" I said rubbing his neck
"I will" he just looked at me as we grew silent. We leaned closer to each other and kissed. The kiss was so passionate and soft. I broke our kiss and stepped back
"Good night Jason" I said smiling opening my door
"Good night beautiful" he said watching me go in the door. I locked my door and slid down my door.
"That man....that man" I said as I shook my head and smiled.

"I'm so damn mad. How the hell they back out of a sale they already signed off on. Shit makes no sense" I just sat and listened to my baby vent. Some weeks had moved by since our first date and our bond was getting closer.
"Well baby don't get upset. You just goin to stress yourself out. Respect their decision and let it go" I tired to calm him down sitting at my desk playing with my pen
"I know I know but I hate having money just taken from me. Annoys me man"
"Baby" I said softly to him
"Yes beautiful" he answered me. He had been so stressed lately from work and I just wanted to relax him
"Spend the weekend with me. Come to my house tonight and we can spend some alone time together. No work no stress just us." I said hoping he would agree. We could both use a break
"That's a good idea. I'm wit it" I could tell he was calm and wanted it just as much as I did
"I'll handle everything just come and let me take that stress off you baby" I said in a seductive voice
"Mmmm I trust you beautiful. I'll be there around 8."
"Ok see you tonight babe" I said ending our phone call.
