Chapter 61: Love Is Beautiful

"Beautiful I'll only be gone for a few hours. I'll make you dinner I get home and I'll put the girls to sleep when I get back. You sure you goin be okay till I get back" he said not wanting to go but he had business to handle.
"I'll be fine J" I said happy he was leaving. I had a surprise for him and he needed to not be in the way.
"I don't want to leave you beautiful but if you straight I'm good" he said kissing my cheek as he got his stuff ready to go. "Call me if you need anything. I mean Hue" he said standing by the door way. "I love you baby" he said to me as I smiled.
"I love you more. Now go head I'm fine J" I said as he ran back over and kissed my forehead. He left out as I sat up in bed feeling ten times better. It's been a week and I've been praying heavy for God to give me the strength to get through this. It was extremely hard to get over but it was nothing that I knew I couldn't get on my knees and pray for and God couldn't fix. I finally released all my problems to him and I was slowly being let free.
"I wanna see my babies" I said to myself getting up out of bed. I was tired of being stuck in the house and I was going to make up for time I lost with them through this process. I took a shower, got myself together and dressed and fixed Jason's disaster of a ponytail. I put on my workout clothes and a bun then made my bed. I was back to myself.
I walked into Harley's room as she laid on her bed watching tv. I missed her so much.
"Angel" I said as she turned her head seeing me. She lit up.
"Ma ma" she said pulling me to sit on her princess bed.
"Mommy was just thinking that we should go to the park and play. What you think" I said as she got super excited. She loved the park.
"Yessss me wanna play ma ma" she said as I got up to pick her outfit out. I got her dressed and braided her soft hair in one long braid.
"Let me get your sister ready and we can go have fun angel" I said to her. I went to get Haley who was in her crib wide awake.
"Hey mommy's pretty girl" I said picking her up. She was getting so big and healthy.
"Ma ma ma ma" she said over and over making my heart beat faster. I loved hearing them call me mommy. It made me so happy.
"Yes baby. Mommy's here" I got her dressed and brushed her curly hair into a little ponytail. This made me excited.
"Okay girls let's go" I said carrying Haley and holding Harley's hand walking down the steps. I cherished my time with them.

"Be careful angel" I said to Harley as she came down the slide. She loved doing that over and over.
"Fun ma ma" she said running back to get on again.
"I see baby" I was sitting on the children's mat with Haley as she played with the mini obstacle course. She was climbing up the small ramps enjoying herself.
"Good job baby. Mommy is so proud of you" I cheered for Haley as she did it over trying her best.
"Angel come sit with mommy for a minute. I wanna talk" I said as Harley ran over to me. I grabbed the bag I packed filled with snacks.
"Ma ma me want juice please" she asked politely as I gave her cup of apple juice. I pulled out some yogurt as Haley eyed it and wobbled over to me.
"Come on baby walk for mommy" I said as she moved one leg after the other. She had her eye on the yogurt. Her chubby legs shook the whole time but she did it.
"Haley you did it. Mommy's so happy" I said kissing her sweetly. They gave me so much joy. She moved her face from me as she whined for the yogurt.
"I'm sorry baby. Here you go" I fed her as she sat in front of me. It was no better site.
"So angel you having fun with mommy today" I said watching her eat her strawberries.
"Mmmhmm" she said with her mouth full.
"Mommy loves spending time with you and your sister. You guys are my best friends" I said feeing Haley falling in love with them even more.
"Ma ma my friend" she said showing me her bracelet. We all had matching best friend and mommy bracelets. I wanted to be their first friend. Show them what real friendship was along with being their mother. That was completely fine for me and I wanted them to feel comfortable talking to me about anything as they grew up. I had to start early.
"Yes you are baby. Mommy loves you both very much. When I wake up its cause of you and Haley." I said smiling at them.
"And da da too" sh said never leaving him out. Their bond was unbreakable.
"Oh yes and daddy. Mommy loves daddy so much. He takes care of all of us and works hard so you girls don't ever suffer. Your daddy is a special man and mommy is so blessed to have him. Not everyone has a daddy like yours angel" I made it a habit to speak very highly of Jason to the girls because no matter what they see my word about him would be imprinted in their heads. I never wanted to tear him down or demean his character to his daughters. He was an amazing father and husband and every chance I got I praised him to our daughters.
"No da da for ma ma" she said to me as I looked at her. She knew I didn't have any parents. Every time she saw Jason mother and met his father she always asked me if I had a daddy. All she knew was Jason's family.
"No angel. Mommy's daddy and mommy are not very nice to me. Mommy doesn't have what you have baby" I tried to explain to her
"Why ma ma" she asked out of curiosity. Children were curious and never took a simple yes or no for an answer.
"Well cause they don't love mommy. They didn't want mommy so they weren't nice to me. But mommy is a big girl now and I still love them. Never hate anyone angel. Tell God to help people who don't love you and be happy" I told her.
"Me love ma ma" she said making me cry. I never felt unloved when it came to my family I created.
"You do!!!" I said smiling wiping my tears. Haley finished her yogurt and wanted me to hold her. I cradled her in my arms kissing her.
"Yes. This much" she spread her arms wide as it can go as I laughed.
"Whoa that's a lot angel. Where you get all that love from" I made it my business to install love in both my daughters. I grew up without love and it made me miserable. I wanted them to genuinely love on everything and be pure hearted people. Love was powerful. "Come give mommy a kiss baby" I said as she walked over to me sitting on my free leg.
"I love you forever and a day my angel. Mommy is so sorry for not being the best mommy lately but I'll spend forever making it up to you. You are my stars my moon and my world. It's nothing you can't do in this world that mommy won't support. Your so special and beautiful Harley. Thank you for coming into my life and making mommy so happy." I looked her in her eyes pouring my heart to her. I said things to hear that I wanted my mother to say to me as a child but never got. I realized that Haley and Harley were a gift. A miracle. A blessing. I thought I could never be a mother and here I was being the best mother I could be to 2 of the most amazing creatures to walk this earth. "Mommy's love for you and your sister is never going to stop. I promise you angel." Every time I spoke to her like this she always a stared at me taking it all in
"Kiss kiss" she said with her little hands on my cheek.
"Okay angel. Muah muah muah muah muuuuuuuuaaaahhhh" I kissed her enjoying every minute of it.
"I love you angel" I said caressing her chubby face
"Love you ma ma" she said kissing me one more time. I know mothers and daughters had a bind but my bond with them was out this world. It was a deep connection I couldn't explain. We needed each other and my life was complete having them in my life. It was hard losing 2 babies but I had 2 beautiful girls to love on day after day. I was blessed.
"Let's go home so mommy can make daddy dinner and kiss him when he gets home" I said as Harley laughed.
"Da da kiss ma ma" she asked me as I blushed.
"Of course angel. All the time. I'm daddy's princess too you know" I said putting them in the car
"Noo me da da princess. Not ma ma" she said cracking me up.
"You can't share daddy with me angel. I love him too" I drove home talking to her.
"Da da mines" she said with her sassy self. She adored Jason. He was her king.
"Okay I'll back off your daddy. You don't play when it comes to your daddy huh" I said as she showed her deep dimples. I loved how she felt about her father. That shows to me that he is doin his job and she doesn't fear or hate her father. Little girls needed their fathers and Jason was doing a hell of a job. Tonight I was going to thank him. He has been my rock and I want him to know just how much I appreciated him.

After a long day at the park I got the girls home. Fed them bathe them and watched a movie as they went to sleep. Haley slept in Harley's bed her. They was holding hands knocked out making me smile. They loved each other like no other. Harley was her protector and Haley loved her big sister. I prayed they stayed this close. I made it to the kitchen in my off the shoulder loose night shirt that came to my knees straight out the shower. I smelled so good and I let my hair down for Jason. He didn't see this side of me for a long time and I was ready to be the best wife he needed. I cooked all his favorites. Ribs, fried chicken, potatoe salad, garlic mashed potatoes, greens,stuffing, creamy macaroni and cheese and corn bread. His red velvet cake was in the fridge cooling. He deserved all this.
"Ma I ain't know you was coming over" he said coming in the door. I'm sure he smelled the food outside and figured it was his mother.
"Its your wife not you not mother baby" I laughed as he came in the kitchen shocked.
"Beautiful why you out of bed and how did you do all this" he said seeing all the food laid out.
"Jason I'm feeling better baby. I didn't wanna stay locked in the room forever" he was staring me up and down. "Come here" I called out for him as he made his way over to me. I wrapped my arms around him.
"Hue are you sure your okay. I don't want you rushing recovering." He asked concerned
"J I'm fine. I promise. I'm not doing too much and I'm not in any pain. I want you to relax tonight." I said getting close to his face.
"I can do that beautiful" he said biting his lip. I knew he was glad I was back. We stared in each other's eyes deeply.
"Baby?" I said stroking his cheek

"Always?" I said to him. When either one if asked always to each it meant that we still kept our vows and promises to one other and our love was always.
