Chapter 29: Closure

It was about 9pm and I was up just watching tv. Jason would be home soon so I waited up for him as I always did. After the accident I couldn't go to sleep without him right next to me in bed. I fed bathed and put Harley to sleep. She was peacefully sleeping in her room. All I needed to end my night was my husband.
"Beautiful I'm home" I heard Jason say as walked up the stairs. Every time I heard his voice I got this tingly feeling inside.
"Babyyy" I said happily excited to see him. This man was everything to me and I never got tired of feeling that rush I constantly got when he walked into a room.
"What's up" he said coming up to me kissing my lips over and over again.
"I missed you J. I was counting down the time till you got home" I said as he laughed at me. I never cared about how cliche I sound it was just how I was with him.
"Damn beautiful I got you like that" he said as I rolled my eyes.
"See their you go taking stuff to your damn head" I said as he got up and taking off his clothes. "But how was your day baby" I said as he brushed his teeth and washed his face.
"Man I don't even wanna talk about it" he said as he came out with just his boxers. His body was so toned and sexy. I couldn't help but stare.
"What happened" I said as he got under the covers laying against his pillow.
"You remember that assistant I told you I hired to help me around the office" he said with his hands behind his head.
"Yes. Eric right?" I said rubbing my stomach as I sat up
"Hue when I tell you he fucking all my shit up I mean all. This fool can't get simple shit right. He slow and he act like he gotta hear instructions twice like he deaf. I wanted to punch his ass today" he said getting upset as I laughed at him. Jason took his business very seriously and if he felt like you was in the way of his money it wouldn't be good.
"Baby calm down. Don't let stuff like that bother you" I said rubbing his bare chest
"Nah man be slowing me down. I tired to give him a chance but his time up" he said looking at the ceiling.
"If that's what you wanna do than do it J. I just don't want you stressing out over stuff you have to power to change. You the boss" I said as he placed his hands over mines on his chest.
"This the only place I'm not the boss" he said as I laughed.
"Nope. You know who wear the pants around here" I said as he laid his head on my chest
"It's all you beautiful" he said as I hit the lights allowing the window view to shine on us. His head rested on my full breast as we laid in the dark.
"You want me to rub your back baby" I said running my hands thru his waves.
"Please" he said as kissed his forehead. Jason was my baby and I would do anything that made him feel better. I spoiled my man and he did the same for me in return. Money and material things were ok but moments like this mattered so more. It took more love to ease someone's mind then to just buy your way into their hearts.
"I love you Jason" I said slowly rubbing his muscular back up and down. I knew he was tired and wanted nothing but peace.
"I love you more baby" he said as he exhaled. My nights always ended the same way. Either I was holding and comforting Harley to sleep in my arms or Jason was sleeping on my chest like a baby. Either way I enjoyed both. This was what I was meant to do. Having them in my life made each night I closed my eyes better and better. I wouldn't change my life for nothing.

I had a couple meetings today so I got up early to get dressed and make breakfast before I left. Every morning Harley would find her way in bed with us just to sleep on Jason. I showered and got dressed in my comfortable cotton white maternity dress. It still made me look sexy instead of huge which I really was. I left them in bed sleeping as I when downstairs to make our breakfast.
"Hmmm what do I want" I said as opened the fridge. I took out the bacon and eggs as I decided on French toast bacon and eggs. Harley was obsessed with French toast. Anything that made my baby girl happy I made sure to do on a regular basis.
I heard footsteps coming down the stairs as I finished cooking. I could hear Harley little mouth running already.
"Food da da I hungry" she said as I laughed. My baby was always hungry and never turned anything down.
"Good morning angel" I said as she ran to me. I bent down as far as I could as I kissed her lips. "You ready to eat mama" I said to her as she hung on to my leg.
"Yes ma ma" she said As I got her food and mines and sat down placing her on my lap.
"This looks good beautiful" Jason said as he kissed my cheek sitting down with us.
"Thank you. Here baby" I said putting a fork of French toast to Harley's mouth as she ate. I fed her on my lap as I ate my food at the sametime.
"Good ma ma" she said taking her last bite as she finished all her food. She rubbed her full belly as I kissed it.
"You all full huh princess" Jason said as he sat back in his chair smiling at her. She just smiled back as she lifted my shirt. Everytime Harley was tired full or wanted just to relax she would lift my shirt and place her tiny hands on my huge stomach.
"Say hi to your sister angel" I said to her as she kissed my stomach over and over
"Baby ma ma" she said pointing to my stomach.
"Yes angel. That's your sister in there" I said to her
"My baby" she said as me and Jason laughed. Harley thought she owned everything and we let her believe so.
"Yes ma'am. She all yours" I said to her as I got up. I put my plate in the sink and went to get my shoes and purse.
"Beautiful come here" Jason said sitting on the edge of the couch by the front door
"Yes Mr. Thomas" I said standing in front of him as he held on to my waist
"Have a good day at work. Don't do anything to hurt my baby. If you need me call me" he said giving me his famous speech he always did when I left the house. Even though he was over protective I understood where he was coming from. He cared so much about his ladies.
"Yes baby. I know and I will." I said to him nodding my head.
"Now gimme me my kiss before you leave" he said as he stood up. I kissed his lips softly as I wrapped my arms around him. He slid his tongue in my mouth as I pulled back breaking the kiss.
"Jason no" I said laughing as he caressed my ass. He always had sex on his mind and I had to go.
"You owe me tonight" he said winking at me. I kissed Harley and told her good bye as I headed out the door. I wanted to be home with them but I also had to work and hey I loved what I did. Today was going to be a good day.

"We just loved what you did for the Taylor's party last year so we had to grab you up" my clients said as we wrapped up our meeting.
"It was my pleasure. I love what I do and I will make sure you get everything you ask for" I said to them
"Now will you being pregnant be a issue. We don't want you standing for too long" they asked concerned. I didn't just provide the food I stayed through out the whole party to make sure everything was served and set up appropriately till the entire party or event was over.
"Oh no. This adds on to my job. She knows not to act up while mommas doing her thing" I said as we all laughed. This was my passion and nothing could ever stop me.
"Well Mrs. Thomas it was a nice talking to you. We'll send your deposit on Monday and I can't wait to see what you got for us" the wife said as she shook my hand and I returned her with a hug. I loved my clients and I wanted to know that I appreciated them choosing me every time. They left as I sat down in my chair. Haley started to kick as I grew hungry.
"Ok ok Haley calm down. I got Cheetos" I said to my stomach as she stopped. I had some greedy girls.
"Mrs. H there is a guest here requesting to speak with you" Jackie said over my intercom as I ate my lunch. My next meeting wasn't until another 2 hours and I wasn't expecting anybody. Whoever it was better make it fast cause I was in the middle of a Bomb ass sandwich.
"Send them in Jackie. Thank you" I said biting a big piece of my sandwich before putting it away. I cleaned off my mouth as I heard someone come in and close the door.
"So this is all yours?" I heard a voice say as I looked up.
"Lamar how did you find my office and why are even here" I said confused. His girlfriend said they were on vacation and my better question was where was she.
"I just wanted to see you. I couldn't believe that was you" he said sitting down. He grabbed the frame I had on my desk of my wedding day with me and Jason and chuckled.
"Damn you looking hard enough" I said taking the frame out his hand and placing neatly back on my desk.
"Still got that same attitude" he said laughing. I ain't find a damn thing funny. He had no business in my office. We had nothing to talk about.
"Actually I don't. But again why are you here and I'm not buying that I just wanna see you shit" I said eyeing him
"Look when I saw you the other day it shocked me. I couldn't get you out my mind. All night you was I thought about" he said as I got annoyed.
"Ok so what does that mean" I said rubbing my stomach
"It mean that I'm beating myself up for losing you. I had a good thing and now another man has you. I fucked up" he said as I laughed.
"No you ain't fuck up. You did what you did because that's what you wanted to do. Now that you see that someone else is making me happy you wanna come in here telling this bullshit. Come on Lamar you too smart for that" I said shaking me head. Why is that my can't appreciate you when they got you but once they see a good man doing what they should've done they wanna play the I miss you card.
"Look Hue. We had some good times and I know that man can't make you happy like I can" he said as I thought I was hearing things
"Lamar are you out your fucking mind. You messed us up not me remember. You brought a bitch to our home and flaunted that baby in my face everyday. You knew I had issues conceiving and you just said oh well you can take that baby then like it was a stuff animal. Do you know how hard it as for me to even get pass that. That shit use to hurt me all the time and you never even said sorry" I said sternly but never raising my voice
"I wanted to apologize for that. I did but I was being selfish." He said to me
"Well you know what why you was being selfish and having a new family. I found a man who was my friend and comforted me when I cried at night. I found a man who told me that he would be there for me no matter what. I have a man who tells me I'm beautiful a million times a day. A man who stood next to me when I went thru the process to have a baby of my own. A man who wiped all my tears when I took test every month that were negative. A man who then gave me a angel to be her mother. A man who takes care of me loves me and respects me. That's why I married him. So Lamar i really don't care about what you wanna say sorry for cause you know what honey it's all forgiven. " I said confidently.
"You forgive me" he said not sure of what I meant
"Yes. My life is to blessed to hold any grudges. It happened now it's over. I'm happy. So the best thing you did for me was cheat and do me dirty cause if it wasn't for you doing that I would have never found my peace and happiness" I said.
"You really happy aren't you" he asked as he looked defeated
"Baby I'm more than happy. I'm blessed and grateful. So if that's all you came here for than this conversation is done" I said getting up and opening my office door.
"Aight. Have a good life and tell that man he got a good woman." He said as he walked out. Even though this was totally unexpected I'm kinda glad it happened. I went through hell and made it thru because I realized my worth. I wasn't going to just stay in a miserable unhealthy situation. I would've missed out on everything I have now. God knows wheat he is doing when he tests us and sets us up for something new. I definitely understood my past cause it taught me how to know treat and appreciate my present. Once loves knocks you down once never be afraid to stand back up and fight. You never know what's waiting for you on the other side. I'm glad I did.
