Chapter 78: Give Me A Break

"Mrs. Thomas. Dr. Adams will see you know sweetie" the nurse said as I sat in the warm waiting area. I was 7 months pregnant and I was feeling it.
"Hey honey how are you" I said as she hugged me. I loved Dr. Adams and she always made me feel so comfortable. I wouldn't trust any other person to care for me or my babies.
"I'm doing great. I'm excited to see how my king is doing" I said rubbing my huge firm belly. Jae was a lot more laid back than his sisters were. He only kicked if he was bothered or hungry. I loved that.
"I'm sure he is doing just fine. Where are my little helpers at" she said referring to Harley and Haley. I sent her pictures and cards of them every month. I owed her for helping me conceive them.
"They are coming. Jason went to get them something to eat after he dropped me off. They should be back soon" I said laying my purse down as she laid me back.
"Hue look at that bracelet. It's beautiful. I wonder who gave you that." She said smiling at me as I blushed. She was always admiring my jewelry and telling Jason how good of a shopper he was.
"It was a gift. For Valentine's Day" I said smiling pulling my shirt up.
"That husband of yours is so sweet." She squeezed the gel on my stomach as I looked at the screen. "Let's see what your little man is up too" I was always anxious to see the progress of my babies. I heard a loud heart beat as she moved the wond around the lower region of my stomach. That was Jae's favorite place.
"Awwww there my baby is" I said so happy to know he was doing okay.
"He's heart beat is so strong and he looks good Hue" she said as Jason and the girls came in. Haley was over his shoulders asleep as Harley came in drinking her juice box.
"We'll look who came to see me" Dr. Adams said as Harley ran over giving her a hug. "Your getting so big and pretty." She said as Harley blushed.
"Me a big girl" she said as we laughed. She sat on her lap as Jason sat in the chair next to me.
"How my babies doing Dr. A" I sat up cleaning off my stomach pulling my shirt down. Jason always asked a million questions when we went to the doctors.
"Your son is doing great. Heart beat is good and he is growing just fine. Your wife is fine but has to keep her blood pressure down. It's a little high than what it needs to be" she said as Jason sat up. I knew he was gonna give me an ear full. Work had me busy and running behind 2 toddlers wasn't easy at this point in my pregnancy.
"I keep tellin her to chill." He said as I shook my head.
"Baby I have been." I said trying to not make it a big deal
"How high was it" he asked as I reached out for his hand.
"Not too high Jason. Don't be too hard on a her" she said holding on to Harley.
"See baby I just need to get some rest. That's it" I said as he kissed my hand looking at me.
"And that's just what you goin do when we get home" he helped me off the table as I grabbed my purse and ultrasound picture.
"Okay so I'll make an appointment for you next week on the 3rd Hue. Stay off your feet and make sure to get plenty of sleep and relaxation. I know this man will make sure of that" she said gripping his shoulder.
"Of course" Jason said as we held hands walking to the front door. I signed my forms before grabbing Harley's hand.
"Say bye bye to Dr. Adams baby" I said before we left.
"Bye bye" she said waving as we walked out getting in the car. I was glad my baby was doing fine but I had to make sure I was doing just as good because I was the one who had to carry and nurture him. Without me and my health Jae wouldn't be able to survive. He was my number one priority.

"Okay here is your snacks. The remote and your pillow for your back" Jason said as I got in bed. He made me stay in bed today so my blood pressure can go down. No phone. No computer. No work. I had to stay in bed and it was no choice for me at all. "Imma take care of the girls. If you need anything just call me ok beautiful" he said rubbing my stomach.
"Jason I'm hungry" I said as he laughed. Before we got home we stopped at my favorite BBQ place and I had chicken wings and fries. That was an hour ago.
"What you want me to get you beautiful" he said kissing my stomach
"I want a sandwich. With bacon, turkey, onions, egg, pickles, mushrooms, lettuce, cheese and jelly. Oh and don't forget the honey on it." I said as he shook his head. I craved everything.
"Aight beautiful. I got you." He said getting up. If I wanted anything he made it possible with no problems. I loved how he treated me.
"J wait baby" I said as he stood by the door.
"What's up" he said with just his sweatpants on. He looked so good.
"Come here" I said smiling at him. He was the man I always wanted.
"Yes Mrs. Thomas" he said letting me caress his face.
"I need a kiss" I said biting his lip. I loved him every minute of the day. He was all I ever thought about.
"That's funny cause so do I" he said grinning at me. We stared at each other as it got quiet. "You goin gimme me them lips or not" he said as I laughed. I grabbed his face kissing his soft lips.  He kissed me back as I played with his beard.
"Mmmm I love you sexy" I whispered to Jason.
"I love you more beautiful. Now Imma go make your sandwich. Relax" he said kissing my forehead. He left and no sooner than he hit the bottom of the stairs Haley came walking in our room. She was now up from her nap.
"There is mommy's pretty girl" I said as she walked to me.
"Me miss you" she said sweetly climbing up on the bed and in my lap.
"I missed you more." I kissed her little face as she put her tiny hands on my belly.
"Baby dere" she said to me.
"Yes pretty girl. Your brother still there. He's coming out soon though. You excited like mommy" I said to her
"Yes baby come" she said making me laugh. Jason came back shaking his head.
"I thought you was sleeping princess" he said handing me my sandwich
"She wanted her mommy." I took my plate ready to devour my food. "Thanks baby" I took a bite loving each piece.
"Ma ma piece" Haley said in my lap. She always wanted my food. I fed her as Harley walked in. She got in bed sitting next to her sister.
"Let me guess you hungry too" I said holding my sandwich up to her face. She bit it with no words. We ate as Jason took a shower. That sandwich didn't last a chance.
"Mommy still hungry" I said to them as they licked their fingers.
"Ice cream ma ma" Harley said as I laughed.
"Good idea angel" I said quickly getting up. I had to grab the ice cream before Jason saw me out the bed. "Stay right here angels. Mommy will be back" I said wobbling out the bed. I headed down stairs grabbing my chocolate ice and a spoon. I dashed back upstairs as I ran right into Jason at the top of the stairs. 
"Hey baby" I said trailing my finger down his chest. I hoped he didn't get mad with me.
"Don't hey me beautiful" he said with his towel around him.
"Did I ever tell you how sexy you look when you get out the shower" I said kissing his wet chest.
"Get your ass back in that bed" he said laughing smacking my ass.
"Just where I was headed" I said getting back in the bed with my babies. I opened the pint of ice cream as they crowded around me.
"Me want some" Harley said as I gave her the first spoon. I went from her to her sister to me. Jason got dressed as I eyed him from the corner of my eye. He got in bed getting his laptop as he answered his emails.
"Girls we ate the whole thing" I said to them as they had ice cream all over their mouth.
"Was it good princess" Jason said handing me the baby wipes.
"Mmmhmm" they both said as I cleaned their face clean. They were satisfied as was I. 
"Come on and cuddle with mommy" I said opening the covers as they laid on my chest. They watched TV dosing off as I kissed them to sleep. I laid my head on Jason's shoulder as he typed away.
"You still working" I said getting comfortable
"Yeah. You need me to get you something" he said kissing my forehead looking down at me.
"No I'm okay baby." I just wanted to be close to him.
"Just let me know" he said going back to his work. I wasn't tired so I just laid on him as he worked in his computer. I turned the TV off as the girls wore on my sides. Jae was enough on my body.
"J can you take them in their rooms. Please baby it's killing my side" I said as he got up taking them both in his arms carefully. I put my body pillow on my right side as it alleviated some pressure off my body.
"Get some sleep baby" he said coming back getting back in his laptop. Even if he was home he still had his business hat on. He never let that slide. I laid there for 15 minutes not being able to sleep as I looked at Jason. His chest was glistening and his tattoos were looking so good on his body.
"Put that up baby" I said rubbing his neck.
"I still got work to do beautiful." He said kissing my hand. I wanted some attention.
"Are you almost done" I asked
"Maybe in like an hour." he said as I grew impatient.
"I can't sleep with you baby" I said rubbing his chest.
"Come on lay right here" he said making room on his chest as he moved his laptop over some. I laid on him as he rubbed my back with his free hand. As much as I loved being in his arms I loved him wanting me even more.
"Ugh soon as I get comfortable your son wants to use the bathroom" I sat up as he helped me off the bed. I went to the bathroom leaving him. I used the restroom coming back as he was still on that damn thing.
"Time is up Jason" I walked over taking his computer closing it. He would have to do whatever he was doing other time.
"Oh so now you telling me what to do" he said laying there grinning at me.
"No sir" I said straddling him as my stomach blocked us from being as close as I wanted to be.
"Then what you want" he said licking his lips gripping my waist.
"Just you baby" I said to him. I took my bra straps off my shoulders letting them fall.
"You pose to be sleeping beautiful" he said unhooking my bra. I threw it to the floor wanting him so much.
"I'm not sleepy baby." I said innocently to him
"Don't give me that innocent voice" he said as I laughed
"Iam innocent Jason" I said blushing at him as he held me tight
"Mmmhmm I know you" I couldn't stop smiling at him. He made me so happy.
"Can I have a kiss J" I said wrapping my arms around his neck
"You already got a kiss today" he said grinning at me
"Don't count my kisses Jason. That's mean" I said pushing him playfully
"Nah it's not. Imma start putting a limit to how many kisses you get" he said making me laugh
"Noooo. I need them." I said kissing his lips over and over. "Kiss me back" I said as he thought it was funny.
"Nope" he said making me laugh
"Jason stopppp. Come on" I peck his lips over and over as he did nothing "Okay. I see how you are. I'm carrying your third child and now you don't want me anymore" I said messing with his head.
"Why you gotta take it there baby" he said shaking his head. "You know I want you" he kissed my cheek as I pretended to be mad.
"I can't tell Jason. You won't even kiss me" I said running my hands thru his hair.
"You really want a kiss" he said caressing my stomach slowly.
"Nope you don't have to feel sorry for me now" I attempted to get up but his grip was so strong on me.
"Stop faking" he said kissing my lips as I instantly gave in. He shoved his tongue in my mouth as I pulled his face closer to me. We kissed passionately as his hands made their way to my breast. He gently grabbed them as he massaged them with his strong hands.
"Mmmmm that feels good" I said as he laid me on my back. He kissed from my lips to my neck down to my chest. His mouth made it to my breast as he devoured them. He felt so good as I ran my hands all over him enjoying what he was doing.
"You like that" he said going from one side to the other. Before I could answer my cell phone rang across the room.
"You wanna get that" he said easing up on me a little.
"Keep going baby. Whoever it is can leave a message" I said wanting to just be with him. He kissed down my stomach as he opened my legs. He was kissing my inner thigh as my phone rang once again. It didn't stop one bit.
"Beautiful answer it. It's not stopping" he said frustrated. Jason hated when anything other than his daughters interrupted our intimate time.
"Ughh" I sighed getting up going to get my phone. It was an unknown number.
"Hello" I said as Jason came up behind me kissing me neck.
"I'm looking for a Hue Jackson" the person on the other line said. My name was not Jackson anymore. And it irritated the hell out of me to not be called anything other than Hue Thomas. I loved my last name now.
"This is Hue Thomas. May I ask who's calling" I said rubbing Jason's head from behind.
"My name is Dr. Karla Smith. I have a Debra Sims here who just got out of surgery. She needs someone to care for her so I'm calling all her family to see who can help" I almost fainted hearing that name.
"Why are you calling me. She has family in New York and I live in Atlanta now. I can't help you" I said back as Jason looked at me confused.
"Nobody wants to take her so I had no choice but to call and ask you. She needs someone to look after her. Your the last member I called" my head started to heart immediately.
"Look I'm sorry but no. I hope she feels better. Hopefully she gets the help she needs. Good bye" I said hanging up. I massaged my temples snatching my robe off the hanger.
"Beautiful what's wrong" he said following me downstairs as I poured me a glass of water.
"Nothing Jason. I'm fine" I slammed the cabinet close as I tapped my fingers on the counter.
"Aye chill out okay. Whatever it is you can't be getting all upset like you don't got my son in there" he rubbed my shoulders as I exhaled. He was right. That phone changed my entire mood but I couldn't let that come in and upset me. My son was more important. "Now what was that about" Jason said as I calmed down some.
"Jason out of all the people in my family. Who do they call to come and help my grandmother" I said getting upset all over again
"Your grandmother? You barely know her" he said as I nodded my head.
"I don't want to know her. Jason you think my mother was bad. You ain't seen nothing yet. That lady is inhumane. She hates me" my so called grandmother was pure evil. The little times I did see her she would beat me for no reason, make me clean her house, and talk to me like a dog when I was younger. I would cry to go back to my mother which was no better.  I have never met a person so mean and hateful in my life.
"Why can't anyone else help her out" he said as I asked myself the same thing
"Jason if you don't pay them they don't want shit to with you. I'm not having that woman in my house especially around my kids. I don't trust her and don't want that negative energy in my house." I wasn't going to allow this one bit.
"But she does need someone baby" he said as I got defensive
"And what does that have to do with me. Not a damn thing. So I don't wanna hear that Jason" I moved from his embrace standing on the opposite side.
"Beautiful don't get mad at me. I'm just saying" he said as I cut him off
"Saying what! To just let her in our home and I'm pose to suck everything she did to me up. You don't understand" I was getting mad because I felt like I was just the person everyone came to for money and help. None of my family ever apologized for treating me wrong and could less if I was dead or alive until they needed something. I cut all ties with them years ago.
"Help me understand baby. I'm always on your side remember that. I'm not trying to make you angry." He said getting closer to me.
"Jason I don't want to talk about it. She can find someone who isn't me and I'll act like that phone call never happened" I said over this already
"You always tell me not to shut you out and talk about how I feel. So don't shut me out. Talk to me baby. I'm your husband" he said as I broke down. I never wanted to be a cold hearted person but they turned me into this. I always got mean when it came to them. My own flesh and blood.
"Jason I have nobody but you. They all hate me. It was hell growing up around my family. I was beat tormented made fun off and neglected. I raised myself. I hate them. I hate them." I cried in his chest
"Baby I know it wasn't easy for you. I know but that's not you anymore. You don't have to be unhappy and scared. I'm here now beautiful. That's all in the past" he rubbed my back as I sobbed.
"I don't wanna be mean like them but I just can't help her. I can't" I said to him. That woman could kill with her tongue and I made it all this years without her criticism and harsh words. I finally felt safe and protected in my life and I wasn't going to flip my world upside down for a person who hates my whole existence. I knew that for a fact.
"Do whatever you feel is right. That's your choice baby. Long as you happy" he said in my ear as I held him tight. Idk where I would be without him.
"I'm happy with you and my family here J. Nothing else matters" I said as he agreed. I had a huge heart but how much could I take. As much as I wanted to just be the bigger person and help out I wasn't sure if that was right for me. What if I said yes and she was still the same evil bitter woman who wished I was dead I would regret bringing her into my home but on the other side what if she changed and actually felt bad for how she treated me instead of getting to know me. This wasn't an easy option and it was bad timing. I had to stay calm for my unborn son and inviting this in my life could cause me everything I worked so hard to build. I didn't know what to do. I had a lot of thinking to do.......
