Chapter 38: Mother May I..

Flashback.......
"Come on beautiful. I don't wanna be late" Jason said sitting on my bed as I got dressed. I was finally meeting his mother tonight and we had reservations. I still had my robe on when he got there. Only thing I had done was my hair that I straighten.
"Baby which one should I wear" I said putting a white dress and a tan dress up to his face.
"Do it matter. You goin end up wearing whatever one you want anyway" he said paying me no mind on his phone
"Babbyyyy .....please just look" I said whining like a spoiled baby. Jason could never resist that.
"Aight.....ummm the white one. It's sexy" he said  as I put it up against me in the mirror.
"You sure. I think I like the tan one babe" I said making my mind up. He laughed shaking his head
"See that's what I mean" he said to me.
"But I'll wear the white one for baby" I said giving him a quick kiss before running to the bathroom to get dress.

We arrived at the restaurant and got to our table before his mother arrived. I was so nervous to meet her cause that's all Jason talked about was her. They were super close and I hope she liked me cause I loved her son.
"Do you think she's going to like me J" I said nervously fixing my hair at the table.
"Stop stressin Hue. If I love then she will too. It's goin be aight" he said rubbing my leg under the table. I hope he was right.
"Is that my baby boy" I heard a voice say as I looked back. I knew it was her. She looked young and had the same dimples as Jason. She was about 5'2 and had shoulder length brown hair with glasses. She looked as if she could be his sister instead of mother.
"Wassup Ma. I missed you" he said as he got up to hug and kiss her.
"I missed you more Vince" she said calling him by his middle name. I stood up as he introduced me.
"Ma, this is my beautiful girlfriend Hue" he said as I reached out to shake her hand. She looked me up and down before returning my hand shake.
"That's your real name" she said as Jason pulled her seat out.
"Yes ma'am" I said sitting down. She didn't even crack a smile.
"Ohh....So Vince how is work going" she said shifting her eyes from me to him quickly. I was a good judge of character and I knew she was not interested in me at all.
"It's goin good ma. Hue gives me a lot of advice to keep new ideas going with the business" he said as she eyed me.
"Oh does she" she said smiling at him
"Yeah. She has a successful catering company and is good at what she does" he said giving me credit for my hard work
"I didn't know you could make good money from just cooking for people. Learn something new everyday huh" she said as I almost choked on my drink. Was she being funny.
"Actually I host special events and network with major companies in Atlanta that I provide my catering services too. It's more than just cooking" I said back as Jason grabbed my hand. She rolled her eyes at my response. Idk what her issue was but I was in a relationship with her son not her. I really didn't have to kiss her ass.
"Anyway, Vince you been missing Sunday dinners with me. I wish you would come around more often like you use too" she said switching the subject.
"I will Ma. Hue and I have Sunday's off from the office so we spend Sunday's together at her place. She cooks me dinner and it's almost as good as yours Ma" he said Trying to lighten the mood.
"Nobody can cook better than momma baby" she said kissing his cheek. They sat there the whole time talking as if I wasn't seating there. Jason couldn't keep both of our attention so I just kept quiet enjoying my meal.
"Any more bread" the waiter said refilling our glasses
"No thank you. I'm fine sir" I said to him
"Smart choice" I heard his mother mumble as I threw my fork in my plate. Jason turned his head as if he didn't hear what she said. I knew he did. I needed to remove myself from this table be I say something that i would regret.
"Excuse me, Imma go fix my makeup baby. I'll be right back" I said as he grabbed my hand giving me a light kiss. She looked away as if she was annoyed by me. I got up and went to the restroom to call Jen.
"Hello" Jen said into the phone as I locked the bathroom door.
"Bitch, his mother is crazy" I said to her filling her in.
"Stop lying. What happened" she said back
"Jen, what didn't happen. First she act like she didn't wanna shake my hand them she tried to downplay my career and how about she tried to say I didn't need any my bread. Like what the hell is her problem" I was confused on why she was coming at me sideways
"Oh hell no. That's like mother in law from hell type shit. Did you do something that she ain't like when you saw her" she asked
"Jen I was nothing but nice and pleasant. I love Jason don't get me wrong but I'm not dealing with his shady ass mother. That's not about to happen" I said walking out the stall looking in the mirror.
"Girl don't let this ruin anything with Jason. Just try and get threw the night and soon this will be behind you. Don't let this get to you boo" she said as I sighed. She was right. I would be done with this dinner soon and I wouldn't ever have to deal with her again.
"But let me get back to this table before Jason come looking for me. Imma call you later and tell you what happened. Love you" I said hanging up going back to the table.
"You okay beautiful" he whispered to me intertwining our hands under the table.
"Yeah I'm okay" I said ready for this night to be over. His mother was quiet as she ate the rest of her food. I didn't want to end the night with her thinking I was a bad person. I had to speak up.
"Look Ms. Thomas. I love your son with all my heart. All I wanna do is make him happy. I have no bad intentions and I don't want him for his money. I'm in love with him and I see a future for us beyond dating. So I just want you to know that I care about him and won't hurt your son" I said to her sincerely. I wasn't sure if she didn't like me just cause or if she thought I was another female after her sons success.
"Okay" she simply said. She was unphased. I spoke my peace and got up.
"Have a good Ms. Thomas. Nice meeting you and Jason I'm going to be in the car whenever your finish. Take your time" I said walking out leaving them both there. I was frustrated and kinda hurt that my boyfriend who I loved so much mother hated me. Idk why but I needed to just get away.
We pulled up to my house as I got out. The car ride was silent. I didn't even wait for him to open my door. All I wanted to do was go to bed.
"Ummm ....you want me to stay the night" Jason said standing at the front door as I kicked off my shoes throwing my purse down.
"Jason it don't matter. Stay if you want or go home. It's up to you" I said softly. I wasn't in the mood to even talk. I walked upstairs leaving him standing there. I took off my dress tossing it on the floor as I washed my face. I pulled my hair into a messy ponytail as I got in bed with just my bra and panties. I got under the covers wanting to forget about this whole thing.
"You mad at me baby" Jason said as he walked into my room. He sat on my bed next to me.
"No I'm not mad at you J. I just wanna sleep okay" I said with my back to him. I know it wasn't his fault but I wasn't feeling none of this.
"Oh aight" he said quietly just sitting there. "I'm sorry too. I had no idea she was goin act like that. That's not like her and I would have never brought you there if I knew it was goin be like that. I apologize" he said as he bent over kissing my cheek. I didn't even respond. I had nothing to say.
"Well Imma just go home. I'll talk to you later. I love you" he sounded so sad and apologetic. I felt bad cause he had no control over what happened. I heard his footsteps start to walk out my room as I sat up.
"Stay with me tonight" I said as he stopped turning back coming towards me.
"You sure" he said nervously. He was so cute when he was nervous.
"Yes baby. Lay with me" I said as he undressed removing everything but his boxers. He got in bed as I pulled him on top of me rubbing his back.
"Hue I hope you know that I'm so sorry okay. I..." He said as I cut him off.
"Jason you have nothing to be sorry for. It's okay baby. Do you love me" I asked as he sat up staring at me
"Of coarse I love you baby. I ain't never love a woman the way I love you" he said as I smiled.
"Ok then that's all that matters. I love you very much and I won't let anything get in the way of that" I said stroking his face. This man was the love of my life and I don't care if his mother liked me or not. I was not going anywhere.
"You goin give me a kiss or do I have to take it" Jason said to me as I laughed.
"I like when you take it from me" I said back licking my lips at him
"If that's how you want it" he said pinning my hands above my head as he put all weight on top of me
"Mmmmm I'm I being punished Vince" I said mocking his mother as he sucked his teeth. I thought it was so funny.
"Oh yeah. So you going there" he said reaching over to my draw pulling out the handcuffs. Jason and I had a interesting sex life let's just say that.
"J!! Noooo..... I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Don't baby" I said trying to get out of what he had in mind. When he pulls out the handcuffs I know I'm in deep trouble.
"Nah don't try and beg now. It's too late for that shit" he said handcuffing me to the bed as he took off all my clothes.......Idk if I ever was goin to see his mother again but I just knew that I couldn't base that on the relationship between me and Jason. He was my only concern. Not her.
End of flashback.......

We made it Jason's mother house for Sunday dinner like we always did every Sunday. She was definitely a force in the kitchen and I loved the break I had from not having to cook.
"Gammy!!!" Harley said running into her arms as she opened the door.
"Look at grandmas little lady. You get more beautiful every time I see you" she said as she kissed her cheek. As Harley ran inside.
"Where's my other baby" she said as I took Haley out her car seat taking off her jacket.
"Say here i'am gammy" I said handing her Haley. She was in love with those little girls. Whenever we asked her to babysit she did it in a heartbeat.
"What's goin on with you ma" I said as I went into the kitchen making a plate. We were super close and she was the mother I never had.
"Nothing much baby. I went on a date the other day. Don't tell your husband he might loose it" she said as I laughed. Jason was over protective of all the women in his life including the one who gave life to him.
"Uh oh Ma. I see you tryna get you a man" I said as Jason walked in the kitchen. We both quiet
"What yall talkin bout" he said as we looked at each
"Nothing" we said in sync as we laughed. We had a girl code.
"That's messed up. You pose to be on my side baby. Your my wife" he said pulling me close to him.
"Sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do" I said giving him a kiss as he smiled at me.
"I see how you doin me" he said pretending to be hurt
"Oh please Vince. Hue give your spoiled husband a kiss for he have a fit" his mother said as I laughed. I kissed his lips over and over again as he wrapped his arms around me. At first kissing in front of his mother was awkward but after some time she actually made us feel okay with it. Jason never had problem with it. She loved seeing her son in love and taken good care of. She played with Haley as we were in our own little world.
"All better" I said as I breaking our kiss
"Alittle. But" he stopped as he got close to my ear. "How about we sneak off upstairs. I'm horny sexy" he said pressing his erection on my stomach as I blushed.
"No! I'm not having sex in your mothers house Jason" I whispered back  trying not to be heard. He was always horny at the most random times.
"Ok how about the car. I'll take the car seats out" he said as I laughed. He was so persistent.
"Jason" I said shaking my head.
"You goin leave me with this hard dick" he said taking my hand making me run on him. Thank Goodness his mother was in the living room with the girls.
"Come on and hope you know it's goin be quick" I said walking towards the front door. We almost made it out undetected until
"Where yall think yall going" his mother said looking from me to him.
"Ummm ma we left something in the car and I umm need his help to get it" I said avoiding eye contact with her. Jason thought it was so funny.
"Mmmmhmmm. Go right ahead. Hopefully I get another grand baby soon" she said winking at us. I stood there red in embarrassment. My mother in law knew that me and her son was about to have sex and she was ok with that. I couldn't even respond to that.
"We won't be long ma" Jason said as I elbowed him in the stomach. He was so open with her.
"Come on grandma babies. We goin leave your crazy parents alone. I got cake Harley" she said taking them in the kitchen. She have Harley whatever she wanted. No was never an option even if I said no she got it from her grandmother somehow. Idk who spoiled them more between the 3 of us.
"Come on beautiful" Jason said smacking my ass over and over as I walked to the car. His want for me was never ending. I loved the relationship that we had with his mother. She saw us as great parents and gave us a break from parenthood when she felt need be. If I didn't talk to Jason about something important I ran to her. She let me cry on her shoulder many times and comforted me like a mother would do. Sometimes Jason didn't even know we spoke about stuff cause we had our own personal conversations. My birth mother wasn't there for me one bit but Ms. Heather stepped up and loved me like her own daughter. It was nothing that we couldn't talk about. I loved her dearly and as far as I was concerned she was my mother. No matter what.
