Chapter 63: A Mother's Love

"The princess was fearless and didn't let the mean giant get to her. She had God on her side and didn't need anything else" I read to Harley and Haley as they laid in bed together. Even though Haley wasn't big enough to sleep in a regular bed me and Jason always let sleep with Harley when she refused to get out. We just had to line pillows everywhere so she wouldn't fall off the bed in the middle of the night. My babies slept like their daddy just as wild as they wanna be.
"Ma ma princess scared" Harley said as I read on.
"Oh no angel. She had God and when you have God you don't fear anything baby" I explained to her.
"Me princess too ma ma" she asked as I closed the book.
"Yes you are angel. You have God with you and long as God mommy and daddy are around you have nothing to be scared of" I said stroking her face.
"Ma ma sleep" she said wanting me to lay in bed with them. Haley crawled over to me climbing on my chest as Harley cuddled close to me. I held them tight as I laid in her bed with them.
"Mommy loves you both so much." I said rubbing their little backs as they held on to me for dear life. They always found calm with me and I loved the fact that my babies loved their mommy. I always got tons of hugs and kisses. I told myself all the time between them and Jason I think I made up for all the affection I never had in my life having them. Every person under this roof was my heart. I looked down at them as I saw their beautiful little eyes shut as they drifted off to sleep. I rocked them in my arms as I closed my eyes to say a prayer for them.
"Dear God. Thank you for blessing me with the most beautiful, sweet, loving Angels I could ever ask for. Iam so grateful to have them in my life. Allow me everyday to be a better mother and show them how much I care for them. Let me not ever let anything get in between me and my angels. I ask that you keep me and my husband strong so we can have a good foundation for our girls. Let them see a good example of love with me and Jason. I ask that you protect them from anything harmful or dangerous. Bless their lives so they can do anything they set their minds too. I ask for continuous love in my heart and peace. In Jesus name, Amen" I said ending my prayer. I slid out of the bed laying them down gently tucking them in tight.
"Mommy and daddy loves you girls forever and always" I kissed Harley then Haley just staring at them hold on to each other. They were my 2 best creations ever.
"Sweet dreams mommy's angels" I turned on their music box hitting the night light. I tipped toed out quietly shutting the door. I got to my room reading the clock that read 8:03. I was running on good timing. I fed bath and put the girls to sleep right on time. I wanted to be in bed by a certain time so they could get well rested. I hit my soft music on my TV and lit my sage candle climbing into my plush bed.
"I should read a book" I said to myself reaching over to my nightstand retrieving a book I brought a couple of weeks ago. It was a romantic novel and I loved reading anything about love.
"This should be good" I started reading getting into the book page after page.
"Beautiful I'm home" I heard Jason say coming upstairs from work.
"Hey baby" I said shutting my book halfway as he came over to me.
"Muahhhhh" he said kissing me softly as I smiled. "The girls sleeping" he said taking his clothes off getting his bath towel.
"Yes sir. I read them a book and they was out" I said to him
"Aight. I'll see them in the morning." He walked into the bathroom closing the door as I continued reading. I was at a the good part. 20 mins passed as I reached the end almost Finishing off the book as a dripping wet Jason came out the bathroom. I peeked up looking at him as I laughed. I couldn't get enough of his body. I turned my attention back to my book as he slid in bed getting under the cover getting close to me. He rubbed his hands on my thigh as he started to kiss my neck.
"J I'm reading babe" I said trying to finish the last couple pages.
"What you reading beautiful" he said laying his head in my lap.
"It's a romance novel J. It's so good" I said showing him the cover.
"Uh Imma leave you alone and let read your lil freak shit" he said as I laughed. He laid there as I massaged his head slowly. Every night he got home it was my job to relax him. Jason came home to peace instead of chaos. Even though I had my own business I still did the laundry, clean the house cook and make sure my girls were taken care off. Jason's only job was to pay bills. He made that rule and never let me pay a thing. At first I was uncomfortable not paying for anything but then I realized that he was my husband and I shouldn't feel bad for letting him take care of his family.
"Ughhh that was so good"
I said closing the book putting it on the nightstand.
"I bet you all horny and shit" he said making me laugh
"For your information Mr. Thomas it wasn't full of porn and freak shit" I said as he sat up.
"Yeah right. Let me see that book" he said reaching over me grabbing it. He opened a random page and started reading
"Paul had my heart so open as he made love to him. His passion filled me up as I screamed in pleasure" he said laughing shaking his head. "What kind of fuckin is that. Paul need to step his game up" he said as I snatched the book from him.
"Shut up. Everyone can't be as nasty and freaky like you" I said smiling at him.

"You aight. Nothing to brag about" I said lying through my teeth. Jason was the best sex on the entire planet. I never had a man who pleased me the way he did. I never got tired of it.

"Now I'm running the show tonight" I said as I cuffed his hands behind his back. He grinned as I laid him down.

I was in the kitchen cooking breakfast with Harely as she sat next to me helping.
"Mix that for mommy while I finish the French toast" I said as she carefully mixed the eggs in a large bowl. She loved helping me in the kitchen and we bonded every chance we got.
"Look ma ma I do it" she said making sure I noticed her doing a good job
"I see angel. Your gonna be a great cook like mommy. I'm so proud of you baby" I said kissing her forehead as I heard Haley and Jason come downstairs.
"Da da me cook like ma ma" she said as he smiled at he kissing her cheek.
"Daddy so proud of his princess. Soon mommy not goin have to cook anymore cause you goin take over" he said as I laughed. Harley loved it when he complimented her. "I can't wait to taste it princess" he said with Haley in his arms.
"Ma ma ma ma" she said reaching out for me eagerly
"Hey my baby. You want your mommy beautiful" I took her from Jason kissing her face as she laid her head in my shoulder as I cooked. She put her hand in my chest as she whined saying my name over and over.
"Haley I thought we was done with that. You can have big girl food now" she was 6 months and I stopped breastfeeding her 2 months ago. I gave her oatmeal and blended up fruits and vegetables. She liked it so far. I just figured she was hungry. 
"Babe get her some yogurt please" I said to Jason as he got it out the fridge. As I sat down with her giving her a spoon. She pushed it out the way as she cried pulling on my shirt.
"What's wrong with her beautiful" Jason said coming over to us.
"J she don't want it. Hand me her oatmeal." Haley loved oatmeal and always wanted more. He handed me the bowl as I gave her a spoon.
"Ma ma ma ma" she cried pushing it away again. She was so fussy this morning.
"Haley calm down for mommy okay.  Why don't you want your breakfast" I said cradling her as he kept grabbing at my shirt. She wanted one thing. "Baby mommy stopped your milk cause you a big girl now. Come on and eat your oatmeal" I tried giving her another spoon but she wasn't having it. She was crying pulling my shirt down and all.
"Hey hey hey what's wrong with my princess" Jason said picking her up as she whined laying on him. She seemed so irritated. "You wanna just breastfeed her baby" Jason said to me as I agreed. I couldn't take my baby crying for nothing. If that's what she wanted than I'll give it to her.
"Come on baby. Mommy's gonna feed you" I took her out the living room as I sat on the couch. Laid her across my chest as I let her nurse. She latched on super fast sucking her milk out. She was calm but felt so warm.
"Haley do you have fever" I said feeling her forehead. All the fussing and crying she was doing was unlike her so she could be sick.
"J come here for minute" I said panicking. Neither one of my babies had ever been sick before and I got scared instantly looking at her. She looked so tired.
"What's up" he said sitting next to me.
"Baby she's sick look at her. She's warm and she is fussy J my baby is sick" I said near tears looking at her. I never wanted them to feel any type of pain or discomfort.
"Beautiful calm down for me okay. I'm sure it's just a fever. She goin be fine. I promise" he said trying to make me feel better. I was a nervous wreck. "I'll get her thermometer" he said running upstairs. She finished eating as I put her on my shoulders patting her back. She was getting hotter by the minute. I took her onesie off leaving her in her diaper as I rocked her in my arms stroking her curly hair.
"Awwww baby mommy is so sorry she didn't know you was sick." I said kissing her face over and over. I was so scared.
"Okay here" Jason said handing me the thermometer. I placed it in her mouth as she cried trying to get it out.
"I know you wanna be left alone baby I know. Mommy almost done" I said as the thermometer beeped. I read it and she definitely had a fever. Nothing too high but I was still worried.
"J call your mother for me please" I asked as he dialed her number. I held her in my arms as she dosed off.
"Ma, Hue wanna talk to you. Hold on" he said handing me the phone.
"Hey ma" I said near tears.
"Sweetheart what's wrong. I know you like the back of my hand" she said as I cried.
"Ma Haley is sick and I don't know what to do. I took her temperature and it's not bad but she has a fever. What do I do ma" I asked clueless. I wanted to be a good mother but sometimes I didn't have all the answers. Having Jason's mother was like a life line I desperately needed all the time. She always got me thru whatever it was I needed with the girls.
"Awwww relax baby. Give her plenty of water and let rest it off. Don't let her put on too much clothes cause you don't want her to sweat. She'll be fine after a couple of days" she said putting my mind to ease.
"Okay ma. Can you come over later on. I need you" I said wanting her to make sure I was doing everything right. She was a major part in my life.
"I'm on my way baby. You know it's nothing I won't do for you Hue" she said as I smiled.
"I know ma. I love you for that" I said as Jason grinned. He loved that we wee so close.
"Now just relax till momma get their. I'll take care of my grand baby and make your favorite" she said as I lit up.
"Lasagna ma" I said as Jason laughed. His mother made the best lasagna in the world and I loved eating the whole pan.
"That's right baby girl. Imma run to the store and be there in an hour" she said as I finally relaxed.
"Okay we'll see you soon" I said ending our call.
"You feel better beautiful" Jason said wiping my eyes.
"Yes. I just got nervous. It's like I learn something new everyday being a mother." I said looking down at Haley.
"You a great mother baby" he said as I blushed.
"Thank you" he kissed me as I kissed him back. We were such a great team.
"Imma go and eat breakfast with Harley. Lay her down and I'll make your plate" he said standing up.
"Okay" I said resting her in her bassinet in the living room. She laid there sleeping peacefully as I kissed her lips.
"Feel better baby. I love you" I said leaving her there as I joined Jason an Harley for breakfast. My job was never done.
