"Yeda, huh?"

As his gaze fell upon her, the embodiment of beauty in the universe stood before him, and in that moment, time itself appeared to halt, the bustling world around them fading into insignificance. Everything else paled into obscurity in her radiant presence, leaving him feeling as though he stood alone, enraptured by her sheer magnificence.

Fuck! She looks so gorgeous in real!

His dreams paled compared to reality; everything he imagined about her turned out to be so off base that it was almost laughable. He wanted to cry, it was unfair to dream for years only to find out that his wildest fantasies were for beggars and reality was far more captivating.

"Sorry bol, gaandu!"

A rush of emotions flooded his heart, each beat reverberating a divine melody, composing a silent ode of yearning and reverence for her. His eyes traced every contour of her body, captivated by her flawless presence, she was indeed a tall and haughty goddess. Despite the curses flowing effortlessly from her lips, they harmonized like notes from a flute, adding to her enchanting allure.

"Shravan, tell Pranav to apologize to Apoorva and Asmita or I'll fucking kill him!"

And then his eyes fell on her lips and he couldn't breathe anymore. Oh, how he wanted to die at that moment as he had achieved the purpose of his life. They were beautiful, moving so fast and an angry pout graced them whenever she decided to rest and shoot fire from her bold grey eyes at anyone who dared to question her.

Oh, those grey eyes, my dear Kanha! How did I miss those in the first place!?

In her mere presence, he felt a kaleidoscope of feelings within him, from the gentle flutter of butterflies in his stomach to the overwhelming warmth that enveloped his soul. He felt complete.

It was as if destiny had woven their paths together in that serendipitous encounter. In her eyes, he glimpsed not just a person, but a constellation of dreams and aspirations, a path to a future he yearned to share with her.

Until the end of time, until their souls were parted by death's gentle touch.

How was this possible? Why did he feel so much for her? He had no answer to those questions.

Someone shook him and he turned to face the idiot who dared to disturb him. Of course, it had to be his dearest friend, Chandrakant.

"Jaggy, let's go!" Chandrakant grabbed his wrist and pulled him. Dragging through the crowd he added, "Sana has been calling you for the past ten minutes!"

"No." He replied through clenched teeth, growling like a possessed man.

Startled by his sudden change in mood, Chandrakant stared at him. "What the fuck?"

He freed himself, jerking his hand violently from the vice grip of his friend, and shoved Chandrakant back. Whirling, he paced back into the crowd, his strides faltering amidst the bustling throng, hoping to reach the center. However, upon finally arriving, disappointment washed over him. The embodiment of his dreams had vanished in the fleeting moments when he had looked away.

No!

Eyes widened at the shock, he started doubting whether it had been real in the first place—whether she had been real in the first place. Had it been a dream? Did his mind start to cloud with delusions? Oh, how he wanted to run somewhere!

He felt like his heart was crushed by an iron fist. The pain was unbearable as if a thousand needles were piercing through his chest. The urge to scream and release the anguish was overwhelming, but the agony was too intense to put into words.

His knees buckled, surrendering to the weight of his despair, and he collapsed to the ground. Tears welled up in his eyes, blurring his vision. In the distance, he could hear his friends calling out his name, but he felt powerless to respond. His body succumbed to exhaustion as he gazed at the spot where his beautiful Apsara had once stood—or had he imagined!?

As darkness closed in around him, everything faded into a blank void.

"Aankhon Mein Teri" for my poor boy, Jaggy.

K.K. lives in our hearts forever. RIP

P. S. I am just tired of how shit the app has been to me, whenever I try to publish it removes the song attached to the chapter and I have to re-edit. And I live in a different timezone making it difficult for me to match my updates to sink with the Indian timezone with a stupid phone in my bed T-T
