He felt Nishita's presence behind him and quickly crumpled the paper into his palm. Turning calmly to face her, he gave a small, reassuring nod. "It's nothing, just someone probably got too tipsy and tried to be mischievous."

"What are you hiding in your hand?" Nishita's voice held a tinge of suspicion.

He sighed softly, his tone gentle yet firm. "Wifey, please don't involve yourself in my business. It's not safe for you."

"And what about you?" Her voice quivered with concern. "You have a gun, and, and, AND... You know how to use it!" she snarled. "Your hand was so steady as if you'd used it before. What's happening, Jagdish?"

"It's for safety... I work with dangerous people, Nishita, and for that, I have to work against dangerous people too." He sighed as he saw her face contorting in anger. "My love..."

"No!" she snapped. "What are you hiding in your hand?"

He hesitated, searching her eyes for understanding before finally deciding to confide in her. "I found this note. It's a warning—they know I'm onto them. I didn't want to worry you."

Nishita's expression turned grave as she processed his words. The gravity of the situation sank in, and she closed the gap, hugging him as she whispered, "Who are 'they'? And what would 'they' do?"

Jagdish's gaze softened. "I'll handle it, wifey. It's nothing new." he patted her cheek. "Just trust me, nothing will happen."

"But what if something happens?" Her voice trembled. "Why do you have to work against goons?"

"I promise you, I'll do everything to keep us safe," Jagdish vowed, his eyes never leaving hers, silently reassuring her of his resolve.

"But..."

"Nishita, trust me."

Nishita nodded, her fear mingling with unwavering support. "Okay, but promise me you'll be careful."

"I promise," he said, squeezing her shoulder gently. "My family is everything to me, wifey, and you are my family." He kissed her temple, his lips lingering as if to seal his promise with an extra touch of love. Then, he glanced at the shards of glass on the floor as he scratched his head. "Well, I'll get the broom. Looks like we had a party without the fun part!" he quipped.

"It's eleven at night, Jagdish," she scrunched her nose with disbelief. "Cleaning should be the last thing on anyone's mind."

Jagdish raised an eyebrow, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. "Oh really? And what kind of thoughts should one have at eleven at night, hmm?"

"Ishh!" Nishita playfully swatted his cheek. "Shameless, you are so shameless!"

"Arey, you only said, not to hide anything—" he murmured, pulling her closer. He brought his lips to her cheek, savoring the softness of her skin and she giggled, encouraging him to continue. "—to be myself—" he continued, his voice deepening with desire. His lips brushed lightly over her neck, and he felt her pulse quicken under his touch. "—and now you call me shameless," he teased, his words a breathy whisper against her ear.

The way she melted into him, her body responding to his every touch, made him crave her even more. His hands roamed possessively over her back, pulling her even closer, feeling her heart race in time with his. Her sweet lemony scent, intoxicating as hell, filled his senses as he pressed himself against her, the warmth of her body igniting his own.

"Never in my wildest dreams..." she gasped. He couldn't help but smirk, reveling in the effect he had on her. "...Ah..." A soft moan escaped her lips when he nipped her skin, his teeth grazing her neck in a way that excited him as well. "...I thought that you would be this shameless..." Her voice was barely a whisper.

"Oh, my sweet, sweet Nishita, you don't even know what all I have done to you in my dreams, forget about wildest," he whispered. His tongue flicked out, tasting the delicate line of her jaw. "You'd never survive those in real life... Shameless doesn't even start to describe my intentions." he let out a husky chuckle when she moaned, "In my dreams, I've explored every fucking inch of you, memorized every reaction, every gasp and sigh. I've taken you in ways that would make you blush just to think about."

"Ah, Jagdish... You are..."

"Seducing you? Is it working better than your trials, my love?"

The cold metal of the gun pressed against her waist brought her back to reality. "Jagdish... stop it, you have a gun in your hand!" She snarled.

He chuckled softly and with deliberate calm, he secured the gun back into his jeans. Then, crouching slightly, he swept her into his arms.

She couldn't help but scream, "Jagdish!"

"You didn't answer me, by the way," he remarked with a disarming smile, cheeks tinged with a hint of pink. "Am I beautiful enough for you?"

As he moved forward with her in his arms, a grin spread across his face, savoring the way she clung to him. Her expression oscillated between shock and fear, her head swiveling from his face to the floor. "Jagdish, this is not a joke!" she yelled, her voice laced with both frustration and anxiety. "Goddamn it, I am heavy, I know myself."

"Heavy?" he teased gently, giving her a playful shake. "How much? A hundred kilograms?"

"I am not fat, you jerk!" Nishita shot him a sharp look and smacked his chest. "I shouldn't have forgiven you, I shouldn't have looked at your eyes!"

A hearty laugh escaped his lips, resonating through the hall. His body vibrated slightly with amusement as he effortlessly carried her towards their bedroom. Well, for him she weighed nothing more than a fragile bird... his angry bird.

A/N

Arey... How could I stop here!? XD

Initially, I was going to add "Waada Raha" from the same movie to this chapter, but with all of Jagdish's naughty attitude, I figured "Dil Dooba" was a much better match for him and Nishita. The lines- 'Neeli Ankhon Mein Ye Dil Dooba'... Isn't that our Jagdish serenading Nishita?
