It drove her wild, the intoxicating scent of him mingling with the sensation of his firm muscles pressing against her. Every detail seemed heightened, from the way his breath tickled her skin to the magnetic pull drawing her hands to his shoulders, fingers gripping tightly as if desperate to bridge the gap between them. It was a symphony of desire, each note playing out in the tension that crackled between them, thick with unspoken longing and electric anticipation.

"Kiss me, Kant," she breathed, her voice a husky plea laden with desire. "I need you to fucking kiss me."

He grabbed her hip, groaning as she arched her back, pressing her soft bosom against his chest. "Devi, I've given you everything—my love, my body, my virginity, and my soul." He heaved, caressing her. "Do you want me to die for you now?"

She opened her eyes in shock.

"Vir... Virginity..." Her eyes widened as she realized what had transpired that night was not just him losing control but sacrificing such strong morals for her. Tears welled up in her eyes. "Kant, was that the first time you...?"

He chuckled, tears brimming in his eyes. "Just because I fucked you like crazy doesn't mean I have done that before. I'm not a fucking manwhore, Devi."

She held his face, trying to decipher his emotions. He was hurt, clearly, but there was something more she couldn't figure out.

His grip on her throat loosened as he pulled her hands away from his face. "I don't want to die, Devi. Please, don't torment me anymore. I can't afford to die, for my parents' sake." He wiped his tears, leaving Devika in shock, realizing she had broken him to his core. Had she been too adamant to accept his love?

Just as she reached to wipe his tears, he swatted her hand away and sniffed. "Please, give me Jaggy's shoes. I don't want to talk to you anymore."

"Kant..." His name escaped her lips like a plea, carrying the weight of regret and longing. Tears threatened to spill, the ache in her chest growing heavier with each syllable. For so long, she'd twisted and turned, searching for excuses to justify his actions, but reality hit her worse. He had been an innocent soul, reserving himself for the one he loved, and... and he had chosen her.

The realization was a bitter pill to swallow. He must have been drowning in love to offer such a precious gift, and she, in her ignorance, had failed to reciprocate even a fraction of that affection. The guilt gnawed at her, a relentless reminder of her own shortcomings. She had wounded him deeply, leaving him to retreat into a silence she could scarcely bear. "Kant, please," she pleaded, her voice tinged with desperation. "Forgive me. I never realized..."

"Devika ji, I don't need this shit from your petty sorry ass," he retorted, his grin so false it twisted her insides. "You'll never be able to give me what I truly desire, so let's just call it quits on this charade of you caring about me...of you having a heart."

His words landed like hammer blows, each syllable a painful reminder of her inadequacy in his eyes. He knew exactly how to wield his cruelty, whether through his words or sex, leaving her feeling exposed and vulnerable. Tears welled in her eyes at his heartless retort, the sting of rejection coursing through her veins. Did he even understand the depth of her struggles, the battles she fought beyond their tangled emotions that she couldn't take all his love at once? Perhaps she had inflicted pain upon him, but that didn't justify his cruel reprisal. With a sob, she loosened the shoes and cast them aside, her gesture a silent surrender to the agony of their fractured connection.

"Chandrakant, take the shoes, and let's just put an end to this," she choked out, her voice thick with unshed tears.

"Consider it done," he replied, his tone devoid of any remorse.

A/N

Just nothing, I have nothing to say... Argh, why are they so infuriating!?

Also, Chandrakant and Devika will now meld into the background of this story as their own story would start after this point in the book- "Five Kisses To Forgive" (Probably not a full-fledged novel, but more than a short story like A Loan Of Five Rupees, not sure yet.)

I couldn't stop myself from adding "Kalank Nahi, Ishq Hai." for this stupid, stupid couple.
