Hearing the words of the King the boy's face grimaced in confusion, 'Hero' was he referring to him? he wondered, he was just on his way to class when he felt a strange sensation as though the very space was changing before him. A circle of light suddenly appeared beneath him obstructing his vision. The next thing he knew, he ended up in this unknown place with an unfamiliar man telling him he was a hero.

(None of this makes any sense, where am I? And why are these people looking at me as though I was some kind of saviour?)

He thought with a bewildered expression. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he had to at least find out why he was here and who these people were, the only ones who could answer his questions were the people who were present. He then stood up on his feet while gazing at the man with caution.

"Is it okay to ask who you people are?"

He asks bluntly, though his wariness towards them was strong. He didn't think he could run away, since he didn't even know the layout of this place, plus the man who had donned an attire similar to that of a knight standing behind the man who he assumed to be the king before him was extremely fit, even if he were to run away, he'd easily deduced be caught before he could find the exit.

Hearing his words, the king nodded his head before speaking.

"We are currently within the royal palace located inside the Watanabe Kingdom, and you are the hero summoned by the goddess of fire who had been watching over our Kingdom for years now."

The King said explaining the situation in an eloquent tone. Jackson listens to his speech with a frown on his face. 'What was this old man talking about?' is what his face implicitly states. All he heard was pure nonsense. goddess, summoned hero, is this some kind of joke? He wondered. He then gritted his teeth in annoyance. Jackson then grabs the King by the cuff of the neck before speaking. The rest of the royal family all narrowed their eyes dangerously from his aggressive actions.

"I don't know what kind of game you may think this is but, someone is going to pay if I'm not back in the next 10-"

"Enough! Don't think your actions will be overlooked because you're a hero."

Before he knew it, there was a long sharp sword a few inches away from his neck. Jackson widens his eyes in shock he didn't see when he drew his sword, nor did he notice when the man moved behind him. His body froze from the danger he had sensed from the sword pointed at his neck. He then released his grip on the King.

"It seems you're still a bit confused, well then allow me to explain the situation more clearly to you."

The King said, stepping a bit closer to the confused Jackson. Jackson then widens his eyes from the pressure coming from the King. It was a pressure that would make all lower their heads, that was the aura of a King who rules overall. Perhaps he was overwhelmed by the Kings sovereignty that he kept quiet, or maybe it was caused by the silver metal that was still placed against his neck.

"I don't know what world you're from, but this world is ruled by four elemental goddesses, the goddess who summoned you is called the goddess of fire, Aetna the one who we worship. It's been over three hundred years since this world had the pleasure of being graced by a hero, so I'd like to ask you something great hero."

The King said in a tone filled with power. Jackson kept his eyes on the King awaiting his next words. The King then took a breath before speaking.

"Will you become the hero of our country? Having the legendary powers of a hero will do good for our Kingdom so, what do you say?"

The King asks keeping a fix stare on the boy before him. Everyone also held their tongue waiting for his responds. Jackson stayed silent for a few second with a face as though he was in deep thought but then he turned his sharp gazed at the King before opening up his mouth.

"Before that can I ask you something?"

He said peering at the Kings face, the King nodded his head with a curious glint in his eyes.

"How do you Know I'm really a hero, couldn't I be some kind of spy ordered to infiltrate this place?"

He said watching the reaction of those present, the King grin widely while looking at the boy before him, his expression as though he had heard something funny.

"Hahahaha.... that's a funny question, only a fool who wish to die would infiltrate this place using such an obvious and flashy method."

The King said, while using his hand to stifle his laughter.

(Judging by his amateur movements, his way of speaking and his way of analysing the situation, he didn't receive any form of training)

The King deduces, an assassin wouldn't go knocking on someone's front door not to mention, summoning magic could easily be sensed by anyone in the area of the location they wanted to travel. There is no known way to overturn that fact, another reason the King Knew he was the real hero is that when the summoning circle appeared the sword of dark flames glowed sharply along with the magic circle, so he came to the conclusion that this boy was in fact the real hero.

Jackson also made a face as if understanding his words. Even he knew it was suicidal to break into someone's place while being engulf in a bright light or anything that may attract attention.

"Well, if your still not convince how about pulling that sword over there."

The King said pointing into the direction of the sword of dark flames. Jackson stared at the sword of dark flames and before he knew it his legs began to move on their own heading towards the sword before him. James withdrew his sword slowly and sheath it at his waist once again.

(This sword is it calling me?)

Jackson wondered gazing at the sword sheath inside a white scabbard. He then picked up the sword that was placed on a wooden table and widens his eyes he was surprised by how light it was before slowly pulling it from its sheath, the royal family and Sir James widens their eyes, the sword that was sheath for three hundred years was pulled from its scabbard. What greeted their eyes was a long two-handed thin sword with a gold handle. The sword then glowed faintly once it was pulled from its scabbard.

(This sword what is it, does it have a will of its own?)

He wondered feeling as though the sword was trying to communicate with him. He could feel a huge amount of heat radiating from the sword in his hand. The King then walked up towards him with a wide smile on his face.

"Well then let me ask you again, will you be the hero of our Kingdom? You'll be treated well."

The King said waiting for his answer, everyone else also waited while holding their breaths. Jackson then made a gesture as though he was pondering something before speaking.

(I think it's about time I get a taste of what it's like to live lavish for a change)

He thought as a grin appeared on his face. He then turned his gazed towards everyone and gave his answer.

"Alright I'll be your hero."

He said confidently.
