Approximately three hours had passed since our departure from the village of Yao, we continued making our way through the dense overgrown forest. A bright blue sky stretched over our heads as the radiant sun shone brightly in the eastern sky.

"Oh! Haruto look, It's the kingdom of Albanian."

Alya beamed as she pointed straight ahead of us. Roughly twenty kilometres ahead was a beautifully structured city with big three-story buildings. A large building stood tall towering over all the other buildings. It was easy to guess it was most likely the royal palace.

"Hmm.... honestly it felt like our journey here lasted far longer than I originally thought."

I muttered tiredly. Though it wasn't that long ago when we started our journey here. Nikita looked at the kingdom of Albanian curiously. Ah, come to think of it this should be the first time she had seen a human nation if I'm not wrong. She had spent a large majority of her time living in the forest.

"So how is it?"

I asked while standing beside her. Hearing my question, she sighed before opening her mouth.

"It beautiful. It's different from the structure of my own town."

Nikita answered. We were currently standing on a large hill, so from our elevated position we could see some of the city perfectly. We stayed silent for a while, while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

"Mm, I think we should go, the line at the entrance gate is getting big, don't you think?"

Alya said somewhat hesitantly. It seems she wanted to be considerate since we were enjoying the scene but, noticing the entrance at the gate was getting a bit crowded she decided to speak up. Noticing that, I smiled wryly.

"Your right we really should get going."

I said before moving forward. Alya and Nikita also followed along. However, as though noticing something I came to an abrupt stop.

"Nn... is something wrong, Haruto?"

Alya asked, tilting her head.

"Well, how should I say this... it's about Nikita."

"Mm, Me?"

Nikita cocked her head in confusion. I scratched the back of my head unsure how to bring up the topic.

"Well... it's because Nikita is a demi human. You do know about the relationship between the humans and demi humans of this world, right?"

"Oh, I see... so that's what you're worried about. Well, you're right, the relations between our respective races aren't that good, in fact it's the worst. But I personally don't care about it, so don't worry."

She stated calmly.

"Hmm, you don't care about it, isn't that a bit too apathetic?"

I asked somewhat incredulously. My eyes widened in surprise. Alya was also looking at Nikita as though she heard something strange. Normally it's natural to feel hate towards the race that had bad blood towards your own kind. Not to mention the humans would also enslave the demi humans.

"It's like I said I don't care about things like that. After all the demi humans also did terrible things towards humans too, didn't they? It might be wrong to say I don't feel any hatred or disgust towards humans but. This conflict had happened three hundred years ago in an era I wasn't born in, I'm not going to waste my time over a conflict I don't fully understand."

She explained simply. Her words were so lackadaisical that I couldn't help but stare blankly at her. On the contrary Alya was going "Fufufu." from where she stood.
