Sometime before the commotion in the capital city. Inside a building which was the headquarters for the organization, the White Moon.

In the capital city, in a certain room, a man was currently kneeling down in reverence.

"My Lady, are you certain about this?"

The young man asked, as he lowered his head.

"Indeed, the fact that this infuriating curse has become more active means that person is likely to return very soon. The moment I've been waiting for isn't that long from becoming reality."

A soft, feminine voice replied back from behind a drawn curtain. Judging by the sound of the voice it was most certainly a youthful woman.

"But... My Lady, wasn't he sealed away by the combined powers of the heroes?"

The young man asked in doubt. During the war three centuries ago the four heroes used their combined powers to create a powerful seal to contain the Demon King and his demonic army.

He was confused why the seal would be weakening now.

"All powers have their limits, even the combined powers of those heroes are no different, I always knew that seal would eventually break one day. However, I had assumed it would take a little longer."

Her beautiful, enchanting voice sounded contemplative. She seemed restless behind the curtain.

"Either way, it matters not, this plague of a curse that man had placed upon me has become an irritating nuisance."

She uttered to herself, annoyance etched in her beautiful, melodious voice.

"I must have that man remove this curse before it eats away any more of my lifespan."

She added further, biting her glossy lips. Like the White Empress, she also held a strong grudge against the Demon God, Lucifer.

During the war three centuries ago, the former Elven Empress, Vaerisse Thalorien, had fought the Demon God briefly, but that battle resulted in her receiving a terrible curse which slowly drains the vitality of those it affected.

Had it been an ordinary human, the curse would've killed them in moments, but Vaerisse was a High Elf, a race which possessed an extraordinary long lifespan.

However, regardless of how long she could live, there was a limit, she had already lost three centuries of her lifespan, it goes without saying how much hatred and resentment she had accumulated over those long years.

"Gather the four shadows and instruct them to check on the seal, I have a feeling someone had tempered with the barrier."

"Understood."

"And also... Informed Mira to stay and protect the capital city."

She instructed, her lips curving into a knowing smile. The youth tilted his head in confusion.

"Hmmm... Is the capital city in some kind of danger?"

He asked, curiosity laced in his voice. He couldn't feel any kind of danger in the surroundings.

"Hehe, little Ezekiel, you are among my strongest followers, however, never forget you are still young, there are many forces even you cannot truly foresee unless they are right before you."

Vaerisse said in a tone filled with motherly affection. The youth who goes by the name Ezekiel blushed as he nodded his head.

"Y-Yes, my Lady."

With those words he vanished into the shadows without making a sound.

"It seems it will take a little longer for me to take action myself."
