The Second Incarnation of the God of Creation

We continued to make our way deeper inside the cave, we traverse through a narrowed passageway.

The path was completely shrouded in dense darkness making it difficult to see what lies ahead.

For roughly 20 minutes only the sound of everyone's footsteps along with the sound of faint breathing sounded.

"Nikita, do you smell anything strange?"

I looked over my shoulders at Nikita who was walking one step behind me.

Hearing my sudden question Nikita's adorable well shaped nose twitch slightly as she smelled the scent in the atmosphere.

"Unfortunately, I do not."

She answered.

"I see..."

I guess this means were going in blind, while I personally don't like to leave things up to chances, I guess there isn't much choice when we considered the situation.

"By the way, Ben, how far did you and that old man from before get until, you were both chase by that snake?"

Alya asked, while looking at Ben. When suddenly being addressed his gazed turned to Alya who was walking right next to him. Though, Alya perfectly blended with the murky darkness around her making it difficult to see her expression.

"Honestly I'm not sure, back then we didn't have any kind of light source so, we had to wonder around blindly for days. And the next thing I knew we were being chase by that serpent."

He explained with a thoughtful expression.

".... I see, well I guess we'll have to go deeper."

Alya said in a casual tone.

No one spoke after that the darkness regained its silence. I used the flare to carefully observe the sturdy walls of the cave.

While I was looking at it, I notice the walls didn't seem to be made naturally.

(This cave, could it be that it was constructed by the hands of humans?)

I wondered as I observed the walls, I found a spot in the wall that had a giant hole and tried to touch that part, when suddenly—

"!?"

Four red glowing eyes dimly lit up the darkness, I instinctively leapt away from that spot, a leg that resembles a spear stretched out attempting to pierce my chest but, I twisted my body to the right evading the attack.

A four-eyed spider with blue skin and a body that measured over 20 cm in size came jumping out.

"Wha-what is that?"

Ben asked nervously, gazing at the spider-like creature that came out of the darkness.

"It's a red eyed spider; be careful they are also among the most poisonous monsters in this world."

Alya warned sternly. At that Nikita stepped forward while cracking her knuckles with a small grin on her face.

"Leave this to me!"

She said before dashing towards the four eyed spider, she held up her fist which was coated with lightning crackling around it attempting to punch the spider but, at a speed unsuited for its large size the spider instantly moved behind Nikita's back.

"Wha?"

"?!"

Nikita's crimson eyes widened as she tried to promptly turn her body around but, before she could even move the four-eyed spider shot out a thick string of web towards her from behind.
