Jason's POV:
Moments before

I was walking from the gym room and making my way to the bathroom to change, we have a locker room but the other guys don't like to change with me in there every since Neal went around telling people that I was gay. I mean it wasn't like he was wrong I've known for a while that I liked guys.

Neal and I use to hangout after my sister and the others graduated, I didn't have any other friends besides them until one day Neal invited me to hangout with him and his friends, at first I was hesitant because I'm not the social butterfly type. some might even describe me as the weird kid who's always quiet and sitting alone, so why would the golden boy of the school and his friends want me around?.

I haven't told anyone I was gay not even my sister, I mean I know my pack wouldn't judge me but whenever I go to say it out loud I can't seem to. It's like the words get caught in my throat and I'm unable to speak. The only reason Neal found out is because.........we're mated. I never told him either though he just kind of assumed and got it right I guess.

I found out a year ago that he was my mate.

We were such good friends before mating season came along. He was nice and always invited me out.

Flashback to a year ago
I was sitting at my normal table during lunch time alone like I always did, I don't like always being alone but it was better this way. I knew what other people whispered about me but I never made an effort to correct them.....mainly because what they were saying is true. I am the wired quiet kid.

I unwrapped my sandwich and opened my milk, I never understood why schools gave us milk with our meals as if it pairs well with everything, I believe it only belongs in cereal or with cookies but hey whatever. I began silently enjoying my lunch when suddenly Neal the schools golden boy came and sat down next to me and his friends Jim and Leo Sat across from us. I was confused as I looked around the table, "Hey can we sit with you?" Asked Neal, I mean he was already sitting so why ask me for permission.

I didn't answer him instead I just sat there silently, "See I told you, he doesn't even talk why waste our time" Said Jim, Leo nudged him "Shut up Jim" said Leo. As I was watching the two bicker I noticed Neal face come into my view as he leaned forward and looked at me. "You don't have to talk to us if you don't want to, we'll leave, come on guys " said Neal about to get up I sighed.

I really need to start talking or people will forever think I'm weird. "Wait" I said they all looked at me shocked.

"I'm Jason" I said Neal smiled before sitting back down next to me, "I'm Neal nice to meet you" he said.

After they introduced themselves even though I already knew who they were, we sat together and ate lunch talking and getting to know one another until the bell rung signaling that lunch was over.

"So Jason, me and the guys are going to hangout at the cafe after school wanna join?" Asked Neal as we threw away our empty trays of food. I hesitated for a while until finally answering "Ok sure" I said Neal smiled. "Cool give me your hand" he said. I looked at him oddly but did as he said he then pulled out a ink pen and wrote his phone number down on my hand.

After he was done he let go of my hand and stuck the pen back into his pocket "Now you have my number, text me later so I can program you" said Neal.

"I um ok" I said he smiled at me one last time before leaving.

After school we hung out at the cafe like Neal said, despite me not being a people's person I had a fun time with them. After that Neal kept inviting me to hang out with them and soon we got closer and then Neal started inviting me to hangout at his house just the two of us, we did what any normal teenage boys would do, like play video games, watch movies, make stupid bets, test each other's strength.....he would always win I'm not that strong.
