June 15th, 2024

"Thank you again for doing this, Jarnie"

"No worries, sweetheart. It's my absolute pleasure looking after my little bunny", Jarnie dismisses my gratitude as she looks back and tickles the baby in her arms. "We're going to have so much fun. Right, Cassie?"

"Yeah! No wowwies, Mama. Nana Jawnie an' me pwomise to be extwa good", my daughter informs me with a cheeky smile, which earns soft laughs from us adults.

"You better. But please, Jarnie, keep my Casserole's sugar intake to a minimum. She has a dentist appointment next week and I wouldn't want her getting any cavities", I request from my mother-in-law as she just chuckles and nods defeated.

"Alright, Y/N. I won't give this baby too much sugar. And if you girls decide that you want to have a little more time alone than just today, I'll gladly keep this baby with me while you girls enjoy your time together", Jarnie proposes with a small smirk, causing Lizzie and I to laugh again.

"We appreciate your help, Mom. And maybe we'll take you up on that offer in the future, but not this time. Cassie has ballet practice tomorrow and it will be the first time I go see her so, we need her back here tonight. Y/N and I will have plenty of time for our date while you and Cassie are out having fun", my Princess tells her mom sternly, making Jarnie nod in understanding.

"Got it, I'll bring her back later tonight. You girls have fun. Say bye, baby"

"Bye Mama, bye Pwincess Lizzie", Cassie sends us an adorable little wave before Jarnie walks them both towards her car. We wave back while we see them drive away before letting out content chuckles and walking inside the house to enjoy Date #10.

"Now that we're alone, are you going to tell me what we are doing?", I ask my Princess while placing my hands over her hips before sliding them across her middle until she's wrapped in my arms. Lizzie instantly wraps her arms around my neck and starts stroking my hair softly.

"Mmm...I don't think so, Angel", Lizzie tells me serious, and I whine in response.

"Why not?", I question with a pout as Lizzie only laughs at my antics.

"Because...you will find out in a few minutes. I just need to finish setting up some things in the living room. You have to be patient, Y/N Emilia", Lizzie explains to me, making me whine again. She laughs at my childish reaction once more before she pecks my lips repeatedly until I kiss her back. With one long and soft kiss, she makes my pout disappear before leaving me in an enamored daze while she goes back to the living room to finish setting up whatever she has planned for our milestone date.

And to think only a few months ago we decided to give our love story a second chance. And now, after 9 amazing dates, we've reached the 10 dates mark, and we are deeper in love than ever before. I'm truly in love with my Princess and there is nothing I want in this life more than spending our lives together, side by side, and having a family of our own.

As I continue thinking back on how far we've come with my Princess after overcoming the trials of life together, the buzzing of my phone in my pocket breaks me out of my nostalgic state. I easily reach for it and see the new notification on the lit-up screen. A satisfied smile graces my lips once I see the number of hearts my recent Instagram post has gotten.
