"So, this is your childhood home?"

"Yeah. It's beautiful, isn't it?"

"Yes, it is. But I thought after you guys grew up and left to live on your own, your parents sold it"

"Oh, they did. But a few years ago, we were on the search for a house for my mom here in California, and we saw that the house was for sale, so we bought it back", I explain to Y/N as she finishes parking on my mom's driveway.

"Well, that's pretty awesome. You're going to give me a tour, right? I want to see where my Princess fell in love with acting", Y/N asks me with the biggest grin, making me chuckle at her words.

"Me toos, me toos! I wants to see Pwincess Lizzie's woom!", Cassie chimes in about the request her Mama made to me, causing me to look between them as they both do their puppy eyes to me. "Please, pwetty please?"

"Yes, Princess. Please, pretty please?", Y/N copies our daughter's adorable antics as I laugh at their master manipulation techniques.

"Of course I'll give you guys a tour, but first we have to go inside and greet everyone. We don't want my mom scolding us for being late", I tell my girlfriend and our daughter before they cheer and give each other a high five. I chuckle once more at their cheeky selves before we get out of the car and walk to the front door of my mom's home.

"Oh, you made it! I'm so happy to see you, girls. Please, come on in!", my mom greets us ecstatic before Y/N and I walk inside the house. "I've missed you, Lizard", my mom tells me before engulfing me on a big hug. I reciprocate the embrace easily, having missed my mom just as much as she has missed me.

"I've missed you too, Mom. I'm so happy we got to come today"

"I'm even more happy. Hi Y/N/N"

"Hi Jarnie. Thank you for inviting us", Y/N greets my mom with a side hug as she is holding Cassie on her hip.

"Oh, it's nothing. You're family, after all. You'll always be welcomed in my home", my mom says softly, making us all share a laugh.

"I didn't know what kind of things you bring to a Hollywood family gathering, but I thought you could never go wrong with dessert, so I brought Tres Leches", Y/N tells my mom while she hands over the tote bag with the dish.

"Aw sweetheart, you didn't have to bring anything but thank you anyways. This is perfect. I bet everyone will ask for seconds", my mom quickly thanks Y/N for her kind gesture as I take the tote bag with the dessert from her hand so she can meet Cassie. "Anyways, is this beautiful bunny my new grandbaby?", my mom asks excited as Cassie gets shy for a second and nuzzles further into Y/N's neck.

"I not a bunny. My name is Cassie Giwawd", Cassie tells my mom, causing us adults to chuckle at her cuteness.

"Casserole, this is Jarnie. She is Princess Lizzie's mama", Y/N explains to our daughter as she moves out of her hiding spot and gasps in amazement.

"So you r' da Queen of Shewman Oaks!", Cassie says as a matter of fact, making us chuckle at her antics once more. For context, my mom was also included in the bedtime story Y/N made up and titled 'The Princess and the Paladin...of Sherman Oaks'.
