Lizzie's POV

December 15th, 2023

"So, how are you doing?", Scar asks me as we take sips from our drinks.

"Honestly? I haven't felt this great in so long", I tell her with a smile as we both share a small laugh.

"I believe you. I've missed seeing you smile and be relaxed like you were when we first met. You don't look stressed as you used to, and you're thriving in your job. How many projects are you doing again exactly? Like...nine?", Scar asks, and I let out a soft chuckle at her exaggerated statement.

"I'm only doing 5 projects, Scar. 'His Three Daughters' is supposed to premiere sometime next year on Netflix. I'm also finishing 'The Assessment' in January, and then I have a movie with Todd Solondz called 'Love Child', another movie with Lance Oppenheim called 'The Age of Love', and the latest one I've accepted, which is still a secret to everyone, is a movie for A24. It's a romcom, I'm pretty excited about that one", I list out to Scar as she looks at me with a smile.

"Damn, you're fully booked. I guess we won't see each other until next Christmas", Aubrey comments, and I shake my head at her words.

"No, we will see each other. I have perfectly organized my year, so I get to do all those projects, plus a few extra ones, and still get to see my friends. My therapist told me keeping myself occupied could help me avoid falling into a self-dwelling state after the divorce. And since I was also starting to fall out of love from acting, she proposed for me to focus on my career, but to not let my life be just that either. Spending time with my family and my friends is part of my healing plan too. So that's what I'm doing, and so far, it has been great. I do need to thank you girls and my family for the support you have shown me during this time. I appreciate you all very much", I tell my friends as they smile at me.

"You don't have to thank us, Lizzie. It's a pleasure to have you as a friend and spoil you rotten now that you're the single friend and will be the one to help us sneak away from our crazy lives, at least for a bit", Emily comments with a mischievous grin, making all of us laugh loosely.

"Look who we found in the parking lot!", Anthony and Chris announce before moving to the sides and allowing us to see Sebastian dragging Y/N closer to our table. She doesn't look so happy about Sebastian's actions, but once she sees us girls, she sighs defeated before joining the boys.

"Hi girls", Y/N sends us a small wave while smiling softly at us. We all reciprocate the act as she moves back to talk with the boys. I take this time to admire her. It's been some time since we last saw each other and talked. The events of that day were pretty unfortunate, but she still looks as hot as she looked wearing that grey tuxedo. Now, with this new shirt-style leather jacket and light beige jeans, she looks amazing.
