Y/N's POV

June 28th, 2024

"So, the cotton candy and popcorn machines go outside next to the snack bar. If you need more cord extensions, you can ask anyone from the tech crew at the DJ booth", I finish explaining to the people I hired to manage each machine as they nod in understanding before walking out to the backyard of the mansion.

Right when I finish doing that, I start organizing the surprise gift bags for Cassie's friends to take home after the party on a tray, but I'm interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell. I stop in my tracks and attempt to go see who just arrived, but I'm thankfully stopped by my girlfriend.

"Don't worry about the door, Angel. I'll go see who it is", Lizzie reassures me as she catches the few gift bags that almost fell to the floor before reorganizing everything better on the tray.

"Are you sure, Princess? I can go get the door", I tell her, but she just shakes her head.

"No, you need to go put these on steady ground and finish checking the last few details of the party, even though you did it two times already. I am currently free and want to help you relieve some of the stress you're clearly dealing with. Could you let me do that for you?", Lizzie requests from me sweetly, and I just sigh before nodding my head defeated.

"Alright, Princess. You can help me greet our guests at the door. Thank you", I tell her grateful for her support, and she just smiles at me before cupping my face and kissing me on the lips softly.

"No worries, Honey. That's what I'm here for. We're a team, we are meant to help each other", Lizzie reassures me before the doorbell rings once again. She quickly pecks my lips one last time and goes to see who has arrived at the party.

Once I was released from this additional thing to do, I walked out to the backyard to leave the gift bags next to the pile of presents from the guests before walking back inside the kitchen to make sure I wasn't missing anything else. I also took this time to find something to drink and take a break. I have been up and going since 6 AM this morning. My feet are killing me, and I need a nap.

"Hi Y/N!", I hear the voices of Lizzie's family greet me, making me look up from my bottle of water and give them a small smile in return.

"Hey guys! I'm glad all of you could make it", I greet my parents-in-law and siblings-in-law along with their families before walking back to my Princess.

"Of course! We wouldn't miss our first birthday with our little bunny", Jarnie tells me softly, making me smile big and warming my heart at how blessed Cassie and I are for being so welcomed and loved by Lizzie's family. "Where is she, by the way?"

"Oh, she's outside playing with her friends from ballet class at the bounce house. They are being watched by Chris, Seb and Mackie so, you might find them either having fun or being tortured by the kids", I inform the group of adults as they all laugh at my words before nodding in understanding.

"Well then, we'll go out there and say hi to the birthday girl before sharing with you the verdict of your predictions", Ash informs me before everyone heads out to the mansion's backyard. Lizzie and I stay behind, and I take this time to hug her and be held by her for a little bit.
