Chapter 4

Eira woke up in the prison, it was dark, and rather cold. She was terrified of what would happen next. Everyone thought she hurt that woman intentionally but she knew she didn't.
"I can't prove anything"
She said to herself. She could feel herself becoming afraid, ice was forming all around her, which of course, made her even more afraid "No, please, not now, not here" she was trying to control her emotions, trying to keep calm, but it was so hard when she had no idea where she was or what was happening. Then she heard a voice.
"Stay calm" it said. She knew who it was, it was loki, she cleared the fog off the glass of the cell so she could see him. "Where am I?" She asked
"Right now you're in a prison cell, but don't worry, you'll be out of here soon" he gave her a little smile which made her feel more easy.
"I'm loki, by the way" he said as he sat on the ground right outside the cell. "And it was..... Eira.... Right?" He asked.
"Yes, Eira" she replied
"Well, Eira, I brought something for you" he said as he pulled a book out of what seemed to be nowhere "Something to pass the time" he continued "I'm not allowed in there so I thought I could read it to you" she smiled at his kind gesture and moved closer to the side of the cell he was sitting by. He read for a while before she noticed that all the ice had melted away. "Thank you" she said,
Before he could answer five guards came in, loki stood up
"What's this" he asked them "The king has order her to be taken to the deep prison. Loki knew what that meant; execution.
"WHAT?!" There hasn't even been a trial yet! This can't be right!" All the guard could say in return was: "by the kings orders" loki knew the guard couldn't do anything about it, he was just following orders. He knew he had to do something, but what? He didn't know if Thor knew about this nor did he really care, he knew the only one who could change anything was his father. He went to speak with his father right away.
"Why is she being executed? She hasn't done anything, even what she was being accused of isn't worth death!" Loki demanded of his father.
"I don't expect you to understand this right now Loki, but you have to know that I'm trying to protect this realm" Odin replied
"Protect it from what? A little ice? You're going to kill an innocent because of ice!?"
"You cannot understand this! She is a danger to us all and I intend to put and end to it!" Loki argued for about an hour before he realized he wasn't going to win, so he gave in and left his fathers presence. Eira spent the night in an even darker cell than before. Finally in the morning a guard came in.
"You need to come with me" he demanded.
"Where are you taking me?" she asked.
"Just come with me, don't make noise, don't ask questions"
