Eira woke up in the middle of the night to the sound of the wind blowing, she looked over at loki and started to panic.
"Loki" she whispered loudly, trying to wake him up, he opened his eyes, hearing the panic in her tone.
"What's wrong?" He asked concerned.
"I think something is wrong" she said, her voice quiet and frantic.
"Why? What happened?" He asked, sitting up next to her.
"Look at yourself" she said trying to stay calm. He looked at his hand and saw that it was blue.
"I'm sure you didn't mean to" he said back.
"It wasn't me, I've been fine all night, and then I woke up and the wind was blowing harder than it should, and you're a Jotun" she said, breathing harder.
"Okay, lets just go back to the palace" Loki told her. They both got out of bed and hurriedly got ready to leave.
"Do you hear that?" He asked, she nodded, they both heard a voice from a distance away. They both left her house, the wind was so strong that they almost had trouble opening the door, snow was flying through the air, blinding them as they tried to walk toward the voice, they walked for a few minutes before seeing a figure in the middle of the blizzard and the words it was saying grew more clear.
"Sleep, Eira" it said, and she instantly fell completely limp.
"What do you want?!" Loki shouted while catching Eira as she fell and setting her down on the ground.
"She is yours, correct?" It replied, Loki thought the question strange.
"Yes, she's my wife" he called back, the figure stepped forward and Loki could see that it was a frost giant, which explained his form. But he was smaller than most, and didn't seem to have any evil intent.
"Keep her safe, there are those that wish to take her from you" he said, Loki couldn't believe what he was hearing.
"Who wants her?! And why would you warn me?!" He shouted back. The Jotun walked over to them and was standing right in front of them, he knelt down next to them and reached out and touched the back of her neck with his finger, burning her skin. Loki pulled her back quickly.
"I'm sorry, but I had to. When you get back home, remember this to be true.I warn you one last time; keep her safe, her and your child." He told him as he stood up and started to leave.
"Wait. Who's coming? When? How can I protect her?" Loki asked in confusion.
"I'm sorry, I can only tell you what I know, and that's that a man plans to steal her from you, and then give her back" he said, Loki's mind flooded with questions, but he had no time to ask any of them.
"Please remember one other thing" he said turning around. "Not all jotuns are evil like your father. I had a family that died protecting me" he said.
"What is your name?" Loki called through the wind that had gained a bit of distance between them.
"Njördr" he replied simply, and with that, he walked into the swirling snow and vanished, the snow and wind stopped suddenly, leaving loki and Eira sitting in the middle of the village. Darkness suddenly surrounded Loki's vision, and he felt himself blacking out.
He woke up in the small room with Eira sleeping peacefully next to him.
'What in the world...' He thought to himself before He heard the door of the house open.
"Loki, Eira, are you here?" It was volstag. Loki got out of bed, confused.
"We're in here" he said as he walked out of the bedroom. Thor, Sif, and the three warriors were all there.
"Loki you said you would be back last night" Thor said, in an irritated yet relieved tone.
"I'm sorry, Eira was looking for something and couldn't find it, so we stayed the night" he explained.
"Well hurry up, everyone is worried" Thor told him. Loki nodded.
"Alright, I'll get Eira" he said as he walked back into the bedroom. He woke up Eira and she was soon dressed and ready to go.
"Eira" loki said a bit quietly shutting the door. "Do you remember what happened last night?" He asked.
"Other than sleeping, no I don't. Did something happen?" She asked, he laughed a bit.
"It must've been a dream" he said, she smiled. He put his hand on the back of her neck and pulled her in for a kiss.
"What was that for?" She asked with a smile.
"Nothing" he said with a smile, trying to hide his confusion after feeling the burn on her neck.
