In about an hour Eira was fully awake. She heard a knock on the door and was a little afraid of who it might be.
"Yes? Come in" she said cautiously. A Guard walked into her room "The king demands your presence" he said rather abruptly "make yourself presentable and you will be escorted to him" he said and immediately shut the door. She got out of bed and opened the doors to the closet.
there were tons of clothes packed in there, she had no idea what to put on so she just grabbed the first thing she saw. It was a burnt-orange, cross top dress that came just to the floor, with a band that went around her waist. She just finger-combed her hair and let it fall around her shoulders with her natural gentle curl. She didn't like that the dress let her shoulders show and had a V-neck line, but she just went with it. She walked out of the room and saw that three or four guards were standing there waiting for her. "Follow me" one of them said, and started walking, so she walked closely behind. In a moment they were right outside the throne room and she could feel her heart beating faster. They opened the doors and walked in with her, they walked over to the throne and she knelt down before the king.
"I would speak with her alone" the king said to the guards. They all left, leaving only the king and Eira in The room. Her heart was pounding in her chest, and she felt like she was going to faint. "Please, stand" the king said in a calm tone. She stood up and faced the king, she was less nervous now that she was pretty sure he didn't call her there to kill her, but she was still shaking. "Lady Eira" he addressed her "I have called you here for the purpose of offering you my sincerest apologies" she was completely shocked, she had no idea what was going on "I unjustly had you taken prisoner, and not only held you here without a trial, but had you sentenced to death, and I would ask your forgiveness" she was speechless, she couldn't believe the king was saying all this to her, she was nobody. "We would be most pleased if you stayed here and took a place in this house" she couldn't find words, she'd never been welcomed anywhere and now the king himself is asking her to stay and live in place.
She coke knot speak for a moment but she managed a nod.
"Thank you" she finally said.
"I'll have the guards escort you back to your room then" the King said as he gestured to the guards. The guards came and walked her back to her room. The whole way back she thought this can't be real, there's no way this is real. But she was wrong, it was very real indeed. They got back to her room and the guards left here there alone. After a few minutes of gathering her thoughts She went to the doors leading to a balcony and stepped outside. the breeze had never felt so welcoming, and Asgard had never seemed as beautiful as it did right then a she looked over the city.
