Loki held Eira in his arms for a few moments, waiting for her to stop crying. He wasn't really sure what to do so he just kept his arms around her, stroking his hand up and down her back. Finally she stopped and pulled away from loki, wiping the tears off her face. "Are you alright?" He asked her, he still didn't really know why she was upset or what was happening
"Yes, I'm fine" she responded looking down a little bit " I just had a crazy nightmare and.... Ugh" she looked at him with just her eyes. "I'm Sorry, I shouldn't have done that" she said as she moved a little bit further away from him "Sorry for what?" He asked, now very confused "For throwing myself on you like that. I was just freaking out and you- and I was just- and... Anyway, I shouldn't have done that" loki moved a bit closer to her.
"It's alright, if you were scared I'm glad I could comfort you" he said with a warm smile. She backed away again and really wanted to change the topic, as she continued to wake up more she felt more and more embarrassed at the fact the she threw herself onto the prince of Asgard like that. "It's pretty cold, do you think we could start a fire?" She asked him. He chuckled a little bit "What? Was that a stupid question?" She felt very self-conscious now.
"No. I just didn't think that you'd- you know cause of the ice and- I just- I'm going to go get some wood for the fire" he said a little awkwardly, and left to get some would. That was the first time she'd seen him have absolutely no idea what To say, and she thought it was rather sweet to see him fumbling around for the right words. She found herself smiling.
"No, no" she told herself smacking herself in the face "he's the prince, you're nobody, you're not allowed to like him" she said as she wrapped her arms around herself. She now noticed the ice around her that she'd created in her sleep.
"And I'm sure he doesn't like you" she said to herself, thinking about all the trouble she'd caused him. Just then loki came back with his arms full of wood that he set up to build a fire, it didn't take him very long to do so and pretty soon they had a nice little fire going. They sat there warming themselves and Eira was soon asleep next to the fire. Loki tried to get some sleep, but ended up sitting up awake all night
