Eira stood in the center of an open field, waiting for Embrey, she looked around and shuddered to think that soon there would be a raging battle happening right where she stood. She started to think about what might happen if things went wrong, what would Embrey do to her? What would she do to loki, or Thor? And what would happen to Asgard? Would she take it as her own, or just leave the people alone after getting revenge? Eira didn't know what to expect. She was brought back to reality by hearing her name.
"Hello Eira" she heard her sisters voice call from a few feet away, she snapped out of her daydream and turned to face her. Embrey was wearing armor as well. "I came as you requested" Eira said, raising her hands to show she had no weapons.
"Good, than we can talk" Embrey said.
"why did you call me here?"Eira asked
"I wanted to give you the chance to surrender" Embrey said arrogantly.
"What makes you think I fear you or your army? I'd rather die than surrender to you" Eira said back, finding Embrey stupid for thinking she would except.
"Oh, I know you would, but how about Loki, would you rather see him die? Cause if you don't surrender to me now, I will kill you, but first I'll make you watch as I torture him, again, but this time I'll do it nonstop, until he's dead" Embrey hissed, coming closer to Eira and putting emphasis on the last part.
"Why? Why are you doing all of this? What have I ever done to you to make you so angry?" Eira asked the question she's been asking her whole life.
"You were born. It was because if you that our parents left us!" Embrey said, this time yelling.
"Well I'm sorry, but I had no control over that! If I could've been born into a different family, trust me I would!" Eira yelled back. "I don't care! I should have more! And it's you fault that I don't!" Embrey shouted.
"More? Embrey you're the queen, what more could you want?" Eira said calming down a bit.
"I should be queen of both Niflehiem, and Muspelhiem, but because of you, Niflehiem is under someone else's rule" Embrey told her, as if she was being rational."So you're going to take Asgard instead" Eira said under her breath, understanding Embrey's plan. "And when I do, you're going to suffer the most" Embrey hissed.
"I don't think you hear yourself, Embrey" Eira told her. "All of this, because you can't have two worlds under your command" she continued.
"Are you going to surrender, or not?" Embrey said angrily.
"No. I'm not" Eira told her. "Well then, I'll see you on the battlefield" Embrey said turning to leave. "Wait, Eira" she called back, then if around, Eira turned around.
"Yes?" She asked.
"You being here, you being with me, it's opened my eyes to something" Embrey said, her tone sounding sincere.
"And what's that?" Eira asked, with a little smile.
"That I don't what to wait till the battle begins to kill you" as she said that, a stream of fire came directly at Eira, she wasn't able to block it, it hit her armor with such force that she fell to the ground, in shock. Embrey came over and towered above her, fire surrounding her hands like gloves.
"The fire comes and melts the ice. She runs, she cries, but she cannot hide" Embrey mocked. "You were always so weak, so helpless. I bet loki was glad to get away from you" she contined. Then Eira remembered the whistle, she took it a blew into it. Within seconds, loki was standing right there, he clapped the metal ring around Embrey's neck, and the fire stopped.
"What is this?!" She shrieked, she didn't even see loki, who was behind her.
"Maybe you shouldn't talk so much. You know, having you mouth sewn shut is a good way to take care if that" loki said sarcastically, stepping in front of her.
"You" she sneered at loki. "He won't always be there to save you!" She shouted at Eira
"Yes he will" Eira said. "And that's one of the many differences between you an I. I have people who love me, you're on your own" she continued. Loki came over to Eira and helped her up. Embrey stood there breathing through her teeth, unable to use magic because of the ring."I'll see you both on the battlefield, and I hope you're prepared for defeat" she hissed. Loki took Eira and the two of them disappeared in a shimmer of magic and appeared back in the palace. They told Thor and Odin to ready their army, war was about to begin
