"You went to jotunhiem? Really?" Loki heard Thor say form his bedroom door.
"Did no one ever teach to to knock?" Loki said as he put down his book he was drawing in.
"Did no one teach to to follow instructions? What were you thinking?" Thor asked in irritation.
"Thor, just leave me alone" loki said.
"Loki, why would you do that? You-" Thor started but was cut off.
"Thor, just leave me alone!" Loki shouted.
"No, this isn't some little thing, this is a big deal, tell me what you were thinking and why you did that" he commanded. "I did it because they stole my wife! They kidnapped her and took her to a deferent realm!" Loki yelled, standing up in front of Thor. "And I know this may come as a shock, but I have feelings, and I love her, and I miss her, and the thought of something happening to her really scares me! And I thought I would be able go in, get her and get out, but I couldn't, and I'm really freaking out now. so just leave me alone!" He shouted in a flustered voice. It was the day after he'd gone to jotunhiem, he had been able to stay pretty calm about it, after getting a good nights sleep he was able to clear his head and take his mind off things, but now that Thor was here and he was talking about it, everything was catching up with him, all his sorrow and fear was creeping back in. "I take it you didn't find her then?" Thor asked. Loki sat back down.
"Worse; I did did her" loki said, he felt a lump growing in his throat.
"What happened?" Thor asked. Loki shook his head. "They took her, I thought i would be able to go get her, my plan was to just buy her back, but- they took her mind, they made her think she was something else" loki explained.
"Did you see her?" Thor asked.
"I spoke to her, but she looked right through me, she didn't even know me" he continued, Thor looked a little confused, he didn't know about the jotuns mind tricks.
"Okay, a few months ago, the jotun who tried to poison Eira, his name is Leif, came and confessed, that's how we found him. Anyway, he told us that the frost giants have a way of changing peoples minds, they can erase memories,
add memories, change memories. they made Eira think she was the queen and had been for years, she had no idea she ever lived here, she doesn't know me, she doesn't remember anything" loki said.
"And you spoke to her, what's she like? Even though she didn't remember you, was she still Eira?" Thor asked, loki shook his head again, letting a few tears slip out.
"No, She's wicked. They didn't just change her memories, they completely changed who she is" loki said, trying not to let any more tears escape.
"We'll get her back" Thor said, trying to calm loki down a bit. "And if we do, what then? She hates asgard, she doesn't know any of us, she doesn't want to come back here because she doesn't know anything about here. She may as well be laufey" he said in a flustered tone.
"Loki, that's not at all true, if they were able to change her mind then we can find a way to change it back. We'll figure it out.
"Why did they take her? Why did they kill frigga and Afya? Why does everyone come after Eira? None I this makes any sense" loki said, putting his hands to his head. He felt Thor put his hand on his shoulder.
"Try to think about one thing at a time, alright? Let's first figure out a way to get her home" Thor said. "And try not to go completely insane" he continued with a joking tone, loki chuckled a little bit.
"I used to be a lot better about controlling emotions, I used to be more heartless" he said jokingly
"Yeah, you used to be a lot more heartless, but then something good filled your heart and and gave you love, you don't want to loose it" Thor said, more seriously. Loki half smiled.
"Yeah, and I really don't want to loose her" loki said. "Don't worry, you won't. We'll get her, and her memories back" Thor told him. "But you should tell father" he continued. Loki felt a bit of dread at the thought of telling Odin about what he'd done, he knew he'd be mad, but he also knew that he'd find out one way or another and it'd be a better idea to tell him on his own.
