Loki stood on the large balcony, looking over asgard, trying to think of where Eira could be. It had been a week sense they'd found Afya and frigga to be dead, and Eira To be missing. He was leaning with his hands against the rail, all he could think about was the fact that he forgot About Eira until an hour after she'd gone.
'How could I have forgotten she went to find Afya? How could I never have noticed she didn't come back?' He was thinking to himself. He then felt a hand on his shoulder and knew it was Thor.
"How are doing, Are you alright?" Thor asked, breaking Loki's thought process. "I don't know" he sighed, continuing to look at the city.
"We'll find her, I promise" Thor told him reassuringly.
"I know. I'm just afraid of what we'll find" loki said. They didn't even know if she was still alive or not, and if she was, was she being tortured? They didn't know anything.
"Loki, she's alright, if they wanted to kill her they would've done it with frigga and Afya, we'll find her, alive" Thor told him, loki nodded.
"Thank you" loki said, his voice cracking a bit.
"For what?" Thor asked. Loki shook his head.
"For far too much. You've done way too much for me over these past few years. But I was specifically talking about helping me get the through this, just you being there is- you help me keep a good perspective on things" he said, turning around to look at him.
"Um, Do you know who's this is?" Thor asked, changing the topic and handing loki a knife.
"Where did you find it?" Loki asked, he didn't remember ever seeing it before, but wasn't sure.
"That's the knife that was found with frigga" Thor told him.
"I don't think I've ever seen it before, but I'm not sure, can I hold into it for a while?" He asked, he was sure he'd seen it before, other than in his daughters heart. "Yes, of course" Thor told him, he wasn't really supposed to let him keep it, but he just couldn't take it from him. For the rest of the day loki sat in his room, trying to remember where he'd seen it before. Finally he set it down, his head was starting to hurt and he really wanted to sleep. He walked to his closet and opened the doors, he just stood there though, looking at the floor right inside the closet. Images of his first meeting with Eira filled his mind, it seemed like so far away but at the same time seemed like yesterday. He could see her sitting there hiding from the king, and when she touched the wall and showed him her powers for the first time. He started to think about when she had the nightmare on alfhiem and he was able to comfort her, he thought about all the times they were able to laugh and smile with each other. For a moment he felt better, but then he remembered that he was now alone, and all the anger filled his mind again.
"How did they even know where to find-" he started to say out loud but stopped, he looked at the knife again and now knew who's it was; Brynjar's. He'd seen it in his house when he went there a few months ago. He left and ran to find Thor.

"Thor!" He called down the hall.

"What, what's wrong?" Thor asked.
"I'm not sure, but I know who's kinife it is." loki told him. "It was in Brynjar's house, he was selling it, maybe I can ask who he sold it to" loki said anxiously.
"Okay, good. We'll go first thing in the morning" Thor told him.
"Uh, let's go now" loki said.
"Loki, it's the middle of the night, if you bother Brynjar now, he won't help" Thor told him. He was mad at how right Thor was, Brynjar was a jerk, and loki knew it would be hard to get him to help on a normal day, it would be next to impossible in the middle of the night. He went back to bed, but he didn't get any sleep, he was both anxious and terrified to find out who the knife belonged to.
