Loki stood there in shock. 'How can she not know me?' He thought, he looked at her for a moment, She was wearing a dark red gown that fitted tightly around her upper body, pieces were crisscrossed around her waist and hips with a jeweled band around her waist. The neckline and selves were made of shear material with studs covering them, there were also straps crisscrossing down her arms. He didn't know if it was really her or not, she looked identical, even the way she was dressed was her, but he thought maybe she was just a look-alike, being used to trick him, then he saw the opal necklace he'd given her the night they 'not-danced' and he knew it had to be her. Even though she looked the same in appearance, there was something about her that wasn't right, something was off.
"Is something wrong?" She asked, he hadn't realized that he was just standing there staring at her.
"You don't know me" he said, a little shocked that she would let him kiss her that way if she never thought she'd met him. "So why did you let me kiss you like that?" He asked, she smirked and put her arms around his his neck, he hadn't realized he was still holding her close to him.
"Well look at you, Why /wouldn't/ I kiss you?" She said back with a giggle, before he could say anything, he heard the door open and he let go of her. "My queen, there's a problem with the prisoner" said a jotun who had entered the room.
"Well you take care of it, I'm busy" she said back, neither letting go of loki, nor breaking eye contact with him.
"Your majesty, I insist yo-" he started to speak but was cut off, Eira let go of loki and snapped around at the jotun who had just entered.
"I said I'm busy!" She yelled "now get out and leave me to my own business! Or do you want to end up like the njördr?" She snapped, the jotun bowed his head.
"Forgive me your highness" he said as he turned and left. 'Shes the queen? How is she the queen of Jotunhiem?' He asked himself. 'And what's happened to njördr?' "You're the queen?" He asked, she scrunched her eyebrows in confusion.
"Yes, of course, I have been for years now. How could you not know that?" She said as she put on the cloak and sat down on the throne, loki just stood in front of her, trying to think of a reason to not know.
"I was stolen as a child, I didn't grow up here" he told her, shifting back to his asgardian form.
"Where did you grow up?" She asked.
"I live on asgard, I'm loki" he told her, he knew lying would only make her more angry.
"You're from asgard?!" She yelled as she stood up, he looked at her and now he knew why she looked different; she looked dangerous, angry, and wicked, not at all the Eira he knew and fell in love with. And any bonding they held a moment ago had quickly disappeared. "And you're the prince?! How dare you come here and trick me!" She shouted "I swear I haven't come to make war, or to trick you, I thought you were someone else when I kissed you" he said kneeling down in front of her.
"Then why are you here?" She asked with anger in her voice. "I've lost someone, she was wrongfully given to one of your people" he said, desperately trying to think of something other than her.
"Who is she?" She asked, still with a harsh and cold look in her eyes
. He couldn't think of anything to say, so he just told her the (half) truth.
"My wife, she was kidnapped, and then was taken here" he told her.
"Well she won't be found in this city" she old him bluntly.
"Why not? If-" he was cut off.
"Asgardians are not permitted to be here, in custody or by choice. I hate asgard and anyone who's from there, she may be on jotunhiem, but not in this city" she said. He looked at her and almost lost control, seeing what they'd done To her, how they distorted her mind and filled it with something twisted and evil, and then remembering how sweet and loving she always was just made everything worse. He went in expecting to find her hurt and tortured, but he almost wished they'd done that instead, at least he could help her that way, but now he couldn't do anything
"I have a feeling you're right, my wife is not here" he said.
"Guards!" She called, a few frost giants came in.
"Will you please take him to the edge of the city? I don't think he needs to be here any longer" she told them, He was dropped outside the city. He didn't know what to do or think, not only was she taken, but now he couldn't get her back, even if he was able to fight down all of Jotunhiems forces, she didn't know him. He quickly got back to the portal and just hoped no one knew he had ever left. He arrived back on asgard, and quickly got back to the palace, he tried to act as casual as possible, he wanted to go be alone, but knew someone would notice he had been gone /all/ day, he tried to think of other things, but Eira's words kept ringing in his mind:
'I hate asgard and anyone who's from there' something she would never have said about anyone or anything.
