Loki woke up early the next morning, he wanted to get to Brynjar as soon as possible. He got up, got dressed, and grabbed the knife before he left.
"Loki, maybe I should come with you" Thor offered. He could see that Loki was upset.
"No, I'll be fine" Loki said, walking toward the stables to get sliepnir.
"Loki, you're upset, and you tend to be a little touchy when your upset. And Brynjar is not your Favorite person" Thor told him.
Loki sighed, he wanted to go alone, but knew Thor was right about his temper "If I'm not back in an hour, come to his house" Loki told him, he didn't really like Thor tagging along with everything, but he knew that something could go wrong. loki headed out, He came to Brynjar's house and knocked on the door.
"Loki, how nice to see you" Brynjar said sarcastically As he let Loki inside, Loki passed him and entered the house.
"Who's knife is this?" He asked, holding up the knife, Brynjar looked at it for a second, then took it from loki to look closer.
"Uh, it's mine" Brynjar said with an irritated look. "It was for sale, but it's damaged so no one wanted it" he continued, tossing it onto a table. "Where did you get it?" He then asked, he didn't realize he left it in the palace when he murdered frigga and kidnapped Eira.
"Where's Eira?!" Loki yelled as he pulled out a knife.
"Okay, calm down, put that away, and we can talk" Brynjar said. "Tell me where Eira is!" Loki demanded, his anger growing at how calm Brynjar was.
"Eira... Eira... Eira...." He mumbled to himself, as if he was trying to remember who she was.
"Which one is she?" He then asked.
"You know darn well who she is! She's my wife!" Loki yelled. Brynjar snapped his fingers.
"Oh right, Eira. Yeah..." He said, trailing off. "she's a little ball of fun" he added with a smirk as he sat down in the chair at the table. Loki couldn't take it anymore, Brynjar's taunting and mocking was getting overwhelming. He grabbed Brynjar's wrist and slammed it onto the table, before he had the chance to pull away, Loki sent a knife through his forearm and a little into the table. He screamed through his teeth, surprised by Loki's actions."Tell me where she is!" Loki hissed, Brynjar tried not to show that he was in pain, but it didn't really work, Loki knew he'd hurt him.
"Well I'm a business man, I don't give you things for free" he said. Loki couldn't believe it, he was still putting conditions on things after everything he'd done. "How about you tell me where Eira is right now, and in exchange i don't murder you and make it look like an accident" Loki said, masking his anger with slight sarcasm.
"Well I don't think you could do that" Brynjar said back. Loki slammed Brynjar's head against the table, causing him to become a little disoriented, he then took a second knife and held it to the back of his throat.
"Where is she?" He asked again.
"Okay, okay, I'll tell you where she is" he was hoping loki would calm down, but he didn't he held his ground.
"Alright. I don't have Eira anymore" Brynjar told him.
"Well where is she?" Loki asked, pressing the knife a little more against his neck. he knew he wouldn't have let her go.
"I don't know. I don't know, some men came and took her, and I don't know where they went" he said.
"I don't believe you. Why would you give her to someone and not know where they took her?" Loki said in disbelief.
"Because. I don't care what my costumers do with their merchandise, they paid me for her and took her, and went on their way" he told Loki. Loki's eyes widened and he started to breath hard, any anger he'd felt in the past seemed like nothing next to the anger he felt now.
"You sold my wife?!" Loki shouted, wanting to slit his throat right then and there, but knew he couldn't. "Yes, I'm sorry, I didn't want to" he said, he knew Loki had a temper, but he'd never seen him like this before, and he knew that he shouldn't add fuel to the fire, so he pretended to feel bad about it.
"You didn't want to?" Loki questioned.
"I couldn't say no to them, they were jotuns, they threatened me" he told Loki, but Loki knew he was lying.
"And I'm sure they also offered you an irresistible amount of money. Did they make you murder my baby too? Did they make you kidnap Eira in the first place?! Why should I believe anything you say?!" Loki shouted, not for one second believing Brynjar's pathetic story. To Loki's surprise he heard Brynjar chuckle slightly.
"You're smart, I'll give you that. Can't say the same for Eira though, I had to beat sense into her" he said mockingly. Loki didn't know what to do, he knew Thor would be there any minute, so he tried to contain his anger a little longer, and in a moment the door opened and there was Thor.
"I see you found your kidnapper" Thor said a little dryly, knowing loki would appreciate it if he didn't make him calm down.
"Yeah, I really want to kill him now" Loki said.
"Did you find Eira?" Thor asked.
"He sold her, to the frost giants" Loki choked out. Thor nodded, thinking of something to do. "Why don't we bring him back to the palace, and when we get Eira back, we'll let her decide what to do with him" Thor suggested. "And of course if something has happened to Eira, you can do what you want" he continued. Loki smirked, liking the fact that Thor hated Brynjar as much as he did.
"Sounds good to me" loki said in response. He pulled the knife out of the table, and him and Thor brought Brynjar back to the palace. Loki was glad they got him, but he still was worried about Eira, at least he knew she was still alive, the jotuns wouldn't have paid for her if they wanted to kill her, but he couldn't help but wonder why they wanted her, or what they were doing with her. After a little while the anger started to fade, and his sorrow started to surface.
"He sold her" he mumbled to himself, feeling tears in his throat.
