Loki sat in his room, trying to think of a way to get Eira back, he knew she was on Jotunhiem, but that's pretty much it. He decided the easiest way would be to just go alone and hope they'd be willing to negotiate.
'Perhaps if they wont give her back, I can pay them for her' he thought to himself. But the thought of buying his wife (or anyone for that matter) made him shudder. He put on his armor and was getting ready to leave, when he remembered that it would be next to impossible to find her if he was just looking randomly for her. He snuck down to the dungeons, making sure no one knew what he was up too, going to Jotunhiem was illegal, and he knew that if he was caught, Thor and Odin would never let him go. He came to Brynjar's cell.
"Where on jotunhiem is she?" he asked. Brynjar looked up at him.
"They'll have her in the palace" he told him plainly. Loki was a bit shocked, he never just gave information that easily, why would he now? He figured he didn't want to make loki mad again after seeing his temper at his house the day before, so he just went with it. He quickly left and headed to his passage to Jotunhiem. He was careful not to let anyone see him. He stepped through the portal and found himself on Jotunhiem, the air was cold and there was a strong wind, the snow in the air making it a little difficult to see, but he could see a few structures in the distance, and figured it was the main city, he'd only been to jotunhiem once, but he remembered it vividly. He walked for a while before coming the the city. Other than this city, jotunhiem was pretty much deserted. He shifted to his jotun form to try and prevent anyone from noticing him until he came to the outside of the temple. "You dare come here again, asgardian" he heard one of the jotuns say, but he couldn't see him.
"I'm not asgardian. And I haven't come here to make war or to harm any of you" he said back, raising his hands to show he was unarmed. A few frost giants came out from wherever they were hiding. "Then why have you come?" The jotun questioned, loki figured he was the king, since laufey was dead.
"Something of mine was wrongfully given to you, or one of your people, I'd like to see if we can work out a compromise so I can get it back" loki said, he wanted to try to avoid telling them he was looking for his wife, he knew they still hated him just for living on asgard.
"What is it you seek?" He ask loki.
"Are you the king?" Loki questioned, he really only wanted to talk to someone who could actually do something, make deals.
"You wish to speak with our leader" he said, loki only stood there.
"Come with me" he commanded as he walked inside the temple, loki followed. As They walked down long corridors, loki found it to be oddly beautiful, the walls, ground, really the whole temple, was made of ice, the light would hit the different surfaces of ice, causing it to shine like diamonds, he saw different designs carved into the walls and ground, he never knew anything from jotunhiem could be so intricate. They came to the throne room, again, all made of ice. "She will be here shortly" the frost giant said, and left the room.
"She?" Loki asked as he turned around, but the jotun was already gone. Loki walked around the room for a moment, looking at everything in the room, he walked over to the throne and saw a black velvet cloak with a hood laid out on the throne, he leaned down slightly and felt it, it was soft and he wondered what kind of frost giant would want it. he picked it up, and brought it to his face, it was warm and smelled sweet but also cold. He held it up and knew he heard right, it had to belong to a woman, which would also explain the designs and detail in the walls and ground.
"Beautiful, isn't it?" He heard a voice say from behind him, he'd forgotten that he was in the throne room of the jotuns, and he quickly put it down. He turned to see who had come in and saw Eira, standing in front of the closed door.
"Eira!" He said excitedly, he came over to her and held her face in his hands, kissing her passionately, After a moment he pulled away, she was smiling and trying to catch her breath.
"Eira, I've missed you so much" he said as he continued to kiss her, he held her close to him and kissed her neck, not wanting to let her go. She let out a deep breath, and a slight giggle.
"Do I know you?" She asked as he continued to kiss her. as soon as she said that, he pulled away.
"What?" He asked, he couldn't believe his own ears.
"You seem to know me fairly well" she said with a smirk "but my memory does me disservice, and I can't seem to remember who you are" she told him, and he felt his heart sink in his chest.
