Odin had sent loki to Nidavellir to get new weapons from the dwarves. Loki was always the one to go because no one wanted to risk enraging them, they were very touchy and not the friendliest of people. Loki always had a way with speaking, so because of his talented tongue he had been the one Odin sent since he was old enough to fight. He had been sent to Nidavellir and upon arriving at the palace, was harshly greeted by two soldiers who forced him to his knees.
"Why have you come to Nidavellir?" One of them asked. They were a very rough and aggressive race.
"I'm loki, son of Odin, and I come to request weapons for our armies" he told them, they pulled him to his feet and dragged him to their leader, who was in charge of any trade involving other realms. They threw him down in front of the king, who sat on a throne.
"Why have you come?" The king asked coldly, the dwarves never liked dealing with outsiders.
"Like I told your soldiers; Asgard's forces are in need of weapons, we've always brought our business here" loki told him, he was never intimidated by them, he knew he could get what he wanted, all he had to do was cooperate with their aggressive behavior for a while and then they'd calm down. Loki told them what weapons they needed and the king told him what it would cost, they spoke for a while more about how long it would be before the weapons could be crafted, It would be about a month before they were ready, and Loki had to stay there until they were. He was led to where he would be staying for the next month, it was a large room inside the palace of the dwarves, but nothing like what he was used to. He sat down on the bed that was in the room and tried to send a message to asgard.
~ Eira woke up the morning after loki left, wishing he was with her, she sat up and let out a small yawn before hearing Loki's voice from across the room.
"Good morning darling" he said, she turned her head toward him
"Loki! You're back already!" She said in excitement, he chuckled a little bit.
"No, darling, I'm not really here. I just wanted to talk to you" he told her,
she remembered that he could send images to a persons mind to talk to them.
"How long will you be away?" She asked.
"About a month. They need to forge the weapons and they want me to stay here until they're finished" he told her, sitting next to her. He put his hand on her stomach, feeling his child who was slowly growing, he smiled slightly.
"I wish you were coming home soon, I miss you" she told him, he laughed again.
"I've only been gone one day. You'll be fine, I'll be back as soon as I can" he promised, she smiled.
"Can I ask you something?" she asked him.
"Go ahead love" he said back.
"Well- never-mind, I should wait and talk to you in person" she told him.
"It's okay, you can-" he stopped talking. "I'm sorry, I have to go. I'll see you in a month sweetheart, don't forget what you wanted to ask me" he said as he disappeared in a shimmer of green magic.
~Loki was interrupted by the dwarves entering his room.
"Is something wrong?" Loki asked. They motioned for him to come with them so he did, he thought something was wrong but it turns out that it was only to tell him that it was time for dinner. "Your highness, I have one more request" Loki said, turning to the king.
"And what is that?" The kind said in an irritated tone.
"Don't sell any weapons to the frost giants if they come" he requested, the king only laughed.
"I sell my weapons to anyone who can pay the price I ask, I care not who or what they are. I'm not on your side Loki, I'm on mine" he told him, Loki was feeling stuck, if the frost giants got hold of weapons then Asgard wouldn't have as good a chance of winning if they tried to take Eira, but he also knew he couldn't afford to make the kind angry, so he didn't want to argue. He thought for a moment about how he could convince the king not to trade with the frost giants"Besides, they were here two month ago, I already sold them weapons" the king told him.
"What? They were already here?" Loki asked, he couldn't believe it.
"They said something about fighting for their beautiful queen" the king told him, Loki started to panic slightly. 'Shes not their queen' he thought to himself, but knew they only said that so the dwarves would do business with them. he knew panicking was useless, there was nothing he could do but wait for the weapons to be ready. =*****=.
It had been three weeks since Loki ha come to Nidavellir. He received a message from Heimdall telling him that Eira wanted to talk to him.
~ Thor took Eira inside after the incident with Brynjar, she went into her room and sat on her bed, she started to cry for a minute before Loki appeared next to her.
"What's wrong darling?" He asked, she looked at him through her tears and told him about what happened with Brynjar.
"Tell Thor to banish him from the palace" Loki told her, she nodded.
"He already did" she told him wiping her eyes.
"I'll be home as soon as I can" he told her, wishing he could comfort her in person
