he continued as they both walked to go find her. "Eira, may I speak with you?" Thor asked, Eira turned to him and nodded, a little out of breath. She walked with him and loki to the meeting room, Thor shut the doors, leaving only the three of them in the room.
"Is something wrong?" She asked as they sat down.
"I need to ask you a few things" Thor told her.
"About the frost giants?" She asked, Thor could tell she was dreading talking about it.
"Yes" he said back. She took a deep breath.
"What do you need to know?" She asked.
"First; do you know what their plan was? Loki told me they were using you and him as bait to get to me, do you know why they wanted me?" He asked, trying not to make her feel like she we being interrogated.
"Um, we wanted to uh-" she started, but couldn't get past the fact that she was part of it. "To kill you. The plan was to take you and loki, so that there would be no heir to the throne, then attack asgard, killing Odin in the process, so that they could easily take over" she told him, feeling her throat closing a little as she spoke, loki sat next to her putting his arm around her shoulders.
"And you were just- what?" He asked.
"I was a distraction. They were sure to draw as much attention to me as possible so that you guys wouldn't think the plan was to take you. They let a spy come to asgard to warn loki, I'm guessing they sent me those dreams about it. Of course, they told me they were using Loki's wife, they didn't tell me they were using me" she told him, and loki now saw why she was so vague when he came there asking about his missing wife.
"That's a very elaborate plan, do you have any idea what they'll do now that it's been spoiled?" Thor asked, she shook her head.
"I dont, I really don't, They never expected loki to get me out, so I doubt there's a plan. But I can tell you that they'll be angry, and they're a lot more clever than most Asgardians like to believe." She told him, trying to give any useful information she had, which wasn't very much.
"They're clever. That's not something I ever would've guessed" loki remarked, more to himself, but Thor and Eira could both hear.
"Well they were able to make me think I was their queen, that I was giving the orders and commands, and look; I don't have any useful information for you" she said.
"I have one last question and then I'll let you go; you said the let in a spy who thought he was helping us, do you knew where he is?" Thor asked, Eira started to breath a littler harder and tears filled her eyes.
"Okay, that's enough of this, Eira come with me" loki said, helping her up and taking her out if the room, he left her outside and went back in to Thor.
"Look, the spy's name was njördr, and she had him taken and tortured, killed, or both. So just don't ask her about that" loki told him as he went back to Eira. "I killed him- I- it's my fault he's-" she started to stutter.
"Eira, it's okay, it wasn't you" loki tried to convince her.
"No it's not! It's not okay, I killed a man loki! I killed him, it's my fault if he's-" she started saying in panic, loki firmly grabbed onto her shoulders.
"It was not you, you did not kill him, whatever they made you do is not at all your fault" he said sternly, she looked down at the floor..
"But I had him tortured" she said, more to herself. He held her face and made her look into his eyes.
"No you didn't, they did. They messed with your brain, you're not responsible for the things you did." He said softly, but still strongly enough so that she didn't want to argue. He pulled her into him and held her closely and securely, but she pulled away rather quickly.
"What's wrong?" He asked.
"Nothing, I just- I need a minute" she said as she walked away, loki didn't follow, knowing she wanted to be alone.
