Loki sat up in bed, he looked over at Eira and saw her sleeping, she still looked sick even though it had been a couple of days. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder and lightly kissed her temple.
"Mmm" she groaned as she turned to face him. "How late is it?" She asked in the same tired tone, not even opening her eyes.
"Shh it's okay" he said softly, she sighed with a slight smile, loki felt her face and she was still hot and feverish. He slid out of bed and got dressed, after he finished he came over and sat next to her.
"I have something I have to take care of, I'll be back as soon as I can" he told her softly, she nodded but didn't sit up. He left the room and went to get Sleipnir. He wanted to speak with Brynjar, he didn't trust him and he wanted to know what he really did to Eira. He came to Brynjar's home and pounded on the door. No one answered, he knocked again, this time louder, but still he got no reply, so he kicked in the door. The house was far to quiet, and clearly empty. Loki looked around, most everything that was laying around was useless. In a moment he found a door in the ground that was covered by a rug.
"Is that really the best way you could think of to hide it, Brynjar?" He said out loud but to himself, he knelt down and opened the door, not to his surprises, there was a staircase leading down, he walked down and found only a dead end. he smirked, knowing that it was a door shielded with an illusion, he touched it and the illusion disappeared and revealed a locked door. "You really wanted to keep this a secret didn't you?" He said trying to bust open the door, after some struggle he was able to break it down, and enter the small room that was hidden. he saw a table in the center of the room that had many pieces of paper on it, he started fishing through them.
"Let's see what you've been up to" he said to himself. He started looking through the papers and found that there was nothing of value, he looked around the room and found yet another hidden door.
"This is crazy even for you, Brynjar" he muttered as he unshielded the second door.
Most people wouldn't ever have been able to find any of these doors, but since loki knew magic so well he was able to tell when it was used. After entering the room he saw a small desk that also had different papers on it, he started looking through them, at first he thought they were odd, the first was about Sif, it told about all Her strengths and weaknesses in her fighting. there were pages of papers just like this one, but about the other warriors. "What in the-" he said out loud.
'What is all this for, and why does Brynjar have it?' He thought in concern. He continued looking through the papers, his eyes widened when he found a detailed map of the palace, every entrance, every exit, every door, every window. He kept looking, becoming more concerned every second, he kept finding things that concerned him; maps, descriptions, anything that an enemy shouldn't have. He was starting to panic, he was breathing hard upon finding all this information about Asgard, and was trying to make sense of it all. then his heart skipped a beat, he found a hand drawn picture of Eira, and at the top it said: 'This is the one you want'.
His heart started pounding, his chest was heaving.
'What is all this here for? Why do you have it?' He was thinking to himself, he knew that if an enemy got hold of any of this it would be disastrous. He was frantically flipping through the other pages and papers, and in his panic he couldn't hear the footsteps from the other room until he heard voices.
"I'll get for you" he heard Brynjar say to someone else. He jerked around at looked at the door, he was glad he closed it, but he still didn't have time to hide so he used his own illusions to shield himself.
"It's right here" Brynjar said as he entered the room and walked to the desk, he picked up a paper and handed it the the person who was with him. The room was dark an the other man was wearing a hooded cloak, but loki could still tell one thing; he was a frost giant."And here, this is the girl" Brynjar said handing him another paper, loki assumed it was the picture.
"You're sure you can get her?" The jotun said.
" as long as you keep your end of the deal, I'll get her" Brynjar said as the two of them left the room. As soon as they left loki took down his illusion. He was standing there in shock, he had no idea what to think anymore. He rushed to the desk to see what Brynjar had given the jotun, and found that the map of the palace was missing, as well as the picture if Eira. he knew Brynjar was dangerous, but he didn't think he would sell out asgard, especially cause he liked Eira so much. But all he could think about Was getting home. He waited till he knew Brynjar and the other man had left, then He quickly left his house and ran for home, quickly and anxiously.
'What is he doing? and why? What does anyone have against Eira? Why do they want her?' Were the questions that were racing through his head
