For the next few days Eira noticed that Thor and loki were spending and unusual amount of time with each other, and they always seemed to be whispering about something and would act "casual" when she caught them. Then She saw them both looking at something, she wanted to know what they were up to, they had their backs toward her so she thought she could look over their shoulders and maybe find some answers. It didn't take her long to figure out that a 5'8" girl trying to discretely peak over Thor's shoulder was like an ant trying to peak over a brick wall. She decided she could let them know she saw them, there wasn't really any way to cover it up at this point.
"Okay, what are you two looking at?" They both turned around as if everything was normal "We're not looking at anything" loki was quick to say.
"I might believe you weren't hiding something behind your back" she said in a sassy tone.
"I'm not hiding anything" he said showing her his hands "Nice trick, but I've seen you do that before" she said raising an eyebrow.
Thor started laughing, loki was hardly ever outsmarted.
"Okay, I was just showing Thor something that you don't get to see until tomorrow night" he told her
"What's tomorrow night?" She asked trying to figure out what they've been being so secretive about "Your birthday" he said smiling. She laughed "Is that what you two have been whispering about for the past few days?" She asked "Maybe" he said with a smirk, which really meant 'yes' and she knew it.
"I wasn't hinting when I told you, I didn't want to make a big deal out of it, I was really just talking to myself" she said, she felt like she pressured him into making a big thing out of it, and she felt bad.
"I know, but I'm doing something for you, so you better not ruin it" he said teasingly.
"What are you planing?" She asked "Either the best day of /your/ life, or the worst day of /mine/, it's all up to you" he told her.
"What does that mean?" She was getting more curious with every minute.
"Look everything will make sense tomorrow, I promise" he told her trying to get her to let it go, he was already irritated that she knew anything about it.
"Well I guess I'll wait" she said cooperatively. Loki was acting differently than normal, normally- even when he wasn't doing anything- he had the 'I could start making trouble at any moment' vibe, but right now he just seemed so lighthearted and sweet, she knew that whatever he was doing he didn't want it ruined, so she decided to let him do his thing and find out when the time came.
