Eira was in her chambers getting ready to go to sleep. For the past few days she wasn't able to sleep, she was always thinking about what hee sisters plan could be, and she wanted to rest, loki wasn't with her but she figured he'd be along shortly. Just as she was about to climb Into bed, loki walked into the room with a book in his hand.
"Are you going to bed?" He asked as he came in.
"Yes" she said with a perky smile that she hadn't been able to find since talking to the spy "I've decide that Embrey has been controlling me my whole life, and now I'm not going to think about her anymore" she said feeling like she had broken free from her past "what's that book?" She asked gesturing to the book in his hand, And jumping into bed
"Oh" he said looking at the book, he had forgotten he had it with him
"I didn't even mean to bring it in here" he said under his breath "it's called 'myths, legends, and prophecies' it's just a bunch if short stories that have been written I've time" he told her "I'm not really supposed to have it, but no one will ever know" he said with a shrug and a smirk. She rolled et eyes "Well read some to me, I love listening to your voice" she said smiling at him. He climbed into bed with her, he put his arm around her shoulders and she rested her head on his chest. He started reading some of the stories, and then some of the prophecies, they both laughed at the silly things people believed, and then never came true. He read on for about an hour, then he came to one and his heart stopped. He looked over at Eira and saw that she was asleep, he didn't know how long she'd been out, but he was glad she was. His heart started racing and his hands started shaking, he pulled himself out from underneath Eira, being careful not to wake her. He left the room and raced down the hall to the throne room, he rushed inside to find his father talking with a few of the soldiers.
"Leave us" Odin said to the guards, they left, leaving loki and Odin alone.
"Something is troubling you, what is it?" Odin asked in a concerned voice.

Umm" loki said, unsure how to start. "I stole this book, and I think I know why you told us not to read it" he said opening the book to the page he was on. "The queen of ice and snow will meet with the Asgardian frost giant, and they will each be the cause of the others undoing" loki quoted from the page. "Care to explain this?" He asked breathing harder, trying to hold back his anger and confusion.
"Loki, I cannot explain to you how that is there, I don't know who wrote it, nor how they knew about you. I hid it from you, your brother, even your mother, because I knew I couldn't explain it. I didn't want you to have to always be worrying about it" he told loki with a tone of fear. Loki didn't know what to think, he didn't know wether he should be angry with Odin for keeping it from him, or thankful for protecting him. One thing he did know, was that things were starting to make sense.
"Is this why you tried to have Eira executed?" Loki asked with a shaky voice
"Yes" Odin sighed "and I now call her my daughter because I realized it was wrong to kill her because if a story" he continued "but aside from that, I'm afraid I know only as much as you do" he told him. Loki started to calm down more, he knew the prophecy couldn't be true, but the fact that someone else knew about him being a frost giant sent chills up his spine. He nodded to his father "Thank you" he said heading to leave the room.
"And-" he said turning back around "and thank you for protecting me" he added with a smile "I will always protect you, loki, you are my son" Odin told him kindly "join your wife, and give this prophecy no more thought, they're the words of a fool" he told loki with a voice of wisdom. Loki left and went back to their chambers, Eira was still asleep, so he climbed into bed next to her, he wrapped his arms around her waist.
"I'm not going to hurt you, no matter what an idiotic prophecy says" he said kissing her neck and falling asleep beside her
