Chapter 16

Loki woke up in His chambers, His head still hurt from the first time Eira hit him. He looked across the room and saw that There were three healers in the room with him. He sat up and cleared his throat to let them know he was awake. They turned to him and one of them came over to him "You should lay down" she said and started gently pushing on his shoulders so that he'd lay back down.
He rolled his eyes at her but still let her make him lay down.
"How do you feel?" She asked. He hadn't really been paying attention to how he felt, but now that she asked he started to realize how much all the little cuts on his body hurt, and that he felt really really hot. "Um, I don't know, my head hurts, and it's really hot in here. But other than that I feel fine" he told her. She came over and sat in front of him
"Okay, look at me" she said to him, but his eyes started to wander. She snapped her fingers to get his attention "Hey, I'm over here" he looked back at her but his eyes started to wander again
"Are you having trouble focusing?" She asked "Im just a little dizzy" he said putting his hand to his head "Well I'm sure that has something to do with the fact that you haven't eaten a decent meal in three days" she remarked with a smirk. He laughed a little bit "Yeah, you're probably right" he said smiling "Well I'll send someone to get you some food, and I'll open a window to get you some air" she had one of the other two healers go get him something to eat and then she went over and opened the window. Sunlight came pouring in, and there was a gentle breeze, which made him feel more alive. In a few moments the healer came back with a plate of food for him, and he quickly ate it. "Feel better?" The healer asked
"Yes, much, thank you" he said. He rubbed his eyes and was starting to wake up more. He turned to the healers "If you don't mind, I'd like to get up and get dressed. There's someone I would like to see" he told them. They nodded and left the room. He got up, got dressed, and headed to leave the room. He was still a little dizzy, but he wanted to make sure Eira was okay. He walked around aimlessly for a little while before seeing his brother.
"Thor" he called as he walked to him.
"Loki, why are you up already?" Thor asked in concern.
"Because, I feel fine. Where is Eira? Is she alright?" He asked, sounding worried.
"Yeah don't worry about her, she's being taken care of" Thor assured him.
"Well where is she? I'd like to see her" he asked again. Thor bribed a little bit.
"Oh you want to see her? Why? I already told you she was fine" Thor said teasingly as he nudged Loki.
"Thor knock it off, I'm serious" Loki said defensively.
"Alright follow me, I'll show you where she is" Thor said, still laughing.
"Thank you" Loki didn't find his joking at all funny.
"You like her don't you?" Thor asked as they started walking.
"Wha- no. I mean, yes, she's a nice person, but I don't have feelings for her" Loki said quickly.
"Really?" Thor still had the same teasing tone.
"Yes, really" Loki said again.
"Then why did your face get red when I asked?" Thor said with a smirk.
"Just shut up and show me where she is" Loki snapped.
"Alright, calm down" he said as they stopped at a door. "She's right here" he then opened the door and Loki went inside.
Eira was only half awake, but she saw Loki coming in and smiled weakly.
"Are you okay?" Loki asked as he came over to her and helped her to sit up.
"Yeah I'm alright. How about you?" She asked.
"Don't worry about me, I'm fine. I just wanted to make sure you were safe" he said. There was a few cuts on his face from her hitting him with ice blades, she reached up and tightly traced them.
"I'm sorry" she said, he pulled her hand away form his face and kissed the back of it.
"I promise I've been through worse" he said with a slight smirk.
"Yeah that's doesn't look like 'feelings' at all" Thor said sarcastically from the doorway. Loki didn't even realize he was still there.
"Would you get out?" He snapped.
"Why?" Thor asked. Loki knew he was just trying to torment him, but he figured he deserved it, he was always the one teasing Thor. Loki then turned back to Eira.
"Alright, well I'll leave you alone now, I just wanted to make sure everything was alright with you" she nodded.
"That's very thoughtful, thank you" she said. Loki got up and left the room, followed by Thor.
"Don't say a word" Loki snapped before Thor even had the chance to speak.
