Chapter 15 : The Start

Alexander's POV

I get up from my seat and manage to sneak out of the room while our prof is still writing something in the board. I got out using the back door beside me.

I heard that my cousin is back in her second home again. And I'm not going to be surprised if it was because of Kent. That douche bag. I told her to protect her, not stress her.

"Alex. It's been a while"

I smiled at Miss Jia and walked straight where Kara is. She's already awake and her eyes widened when she saw me in front of her.

"Buhay ka pa pala" she manage to said even though she looked tired and all. Nginitian ko lang siya at tinignan ang mukha niya "I should be the one saying that" I said then sit beside her.

"Where have you been Alex? Do you know how worried I am?"

Ginulo ko ang buhok ni Kara at ngumiti sa kanya "I know, and I'm sorry I made you worry so much"

Umiling siya sa akin at kinuha ang baso ng tubig sa tabi ng kama niya "I'm not the one who deserve your apology. She does."

I am not stupid enough to not know that she is talking about Arraine.

Arraine.

She has every right to get mad at me. I know she's mad, or maybe, beyond mad. I didn't contacted her or even bid goodbye, I just disappeared from her sight. I know its rude and I know I hurted her feelings. But believe me or not, I always watch her from afar. I didn't forget once that I need to protect her.

"What happened between you and Kent? I heard you two fight. Again" I put extra attention to the again word. She just rolled her eyes and cross her arms.

"Its nothing serius so stop butting in other people's business"

Tinaas ko ang kilay ko at pinitik ang noo niya "Nothing serious? You're seriously depressed and all. You're so skinny and you look so tired. Now tell me it wasn't serious" I said sarcastically and get up from my seat.

"Where are you going now?" She asked

"Home. I'm not really in the mood to listen to class today. I just visit you here to check on you"

Ginulo ko muna ang buhok niya bago tumalikod "Kent will drive you home. Don't dare to escape young lady" I said before I finally leave the clinic.

As soon as I reached the parking, sumakay na agad ako sa kotse ko and drove towards our secret place. It was an hideout actually.

Alam kong nawiweirduhan na sila Arraine sa amin. There are times that I always caught her looking at me weirdly, but I'm always glad that she's not asking me any question. I just can't tell her. We can't tell them.

When I reached the place, I park my car and get inside the house. I looked at my phone as I sit in the couch and just sighed. No texts nor calls from her. What do you expect Alex? That she will put her pride down because of you? Not a chance.
