You felt a huge wave of guilt once you stepped into the elevator. Natasha was an amazing woman she's smart and beautiful and is extremely caring and loving towards you. She's freaking in love with you for crying out loud! And you feel the same. She even asked you out but you were very hesitant about it so you told her you would think about it.

You really did feel something for Natasha but you were scared of getting hurt again.

You have had a bad experience with an ex in the past. You remembered all the times your ex took advantage of you, using you for your money and your body in the bedroom.

You remembered the abuse when your ex came home drunk, calling you a whore or a slut. But none of the words compared to the bruises and cracked ribs you had.

But you managed to get out. They got arrested and now they are in jail. You swore you would never fall for anyone again to protect yourself from getting hurt but then you met Natasha, at first she seemed not to care much for anyone being an assassin and all but then you got to know her.

You saw the good in her. And you fell.....hard.

You now stood in your apartment alone, your roommate out at her boyfriend's for the night. A hard knock was heard causing you to jump a bit. Walking over you opened it and there stood Natasha.

She knew.

Hell of course she knew about your ex and she knew why you were hesitant.

You looked at her worried. She hardly comes over unless it was an emergency.

"What's wrong?" You asked her. She just stepped forward and hugged you, surprising you greatly. You hugged back after a moment.

"I'm not him." She said hugging you a bit tighter but not enough to her you. And you knew exactly who she was referring to, your ex. You felt tears slowly build up in your eyes. You buried your face at the crook of her neck.

"I know." You whispered.
