Ocean's Kiss

You know, I really do like it here...
Life inside this little corner of mine
Hidden behind these soft shadows
Away from all that scorching shine

Looking above at the stars all night
While enjoying those silent melodies
Adorning long lost songs of mermaids
And weaving fragile webs of fantasies

I secretly smile for the salty air plays
All around the rush of ocean waves
While I keep surviving in my solitude
Hidden like a pearl in nostalgic caves

I often go for long walks on the beach
When, somehow, no one is around
Letting this playful breeze caress me
I slowly drown in the ocean's sound

And you know, I pity you so much
For this pleasure, you'll never know
Of raking your fingers in wet sand
The touch of drowning sunsets below

That deep call of fluttering seagulls
The feeling of spreading your arms
Letting the air kiss your hair lightly
Away from skyscrapers, sun warms

Lost in the suburbs of that city life
Wandering in crowds, you'll miss
The ancient love of ocean and skies
Far beyond the horizon as they kiss
