in a dimly lit room
inhalin' dawn's essence,
i lie down on my bed
reminiscing about
everything worthy
of remembrancehow the entire galaxy
was trapped inside
the silence of your eyes
when i looked into them
to find all the stars
that brought us togetherhow the sea waves
rolled into the layers
of your silken hair
such that i could smell
the entire ocean
when i hid my face
in their soft caresshow i found Paris
on the edge of your lips
and inhaled all of it,
an entire love story
wandering in the streets
only to get lost and
never to be foundhow you have no idea
that you took away
my galaxy,
my ocean,
my Paris,
and the love story
roaming its streets
when you left me
to feel this void
...all alonehow i cannot forget
everything in the past
and still forget that
i am living in it,
the future's past
and yet,
i've forgotten it
like it doesn't exist
at all, ...at allAuthor's Note
Listening to 'Breathe' by Lauv. ^-^
I'm travelling out of city in a few hours to visit my best cousin and I remember talking about it a year ago in this same book. See..how time passes? But we get stuck in the past. So badly that we forget that present is future's past yet we've forgotten it. How bad is that? :')
How was this poem? ❤
Much love,
