my fingers are glazed
with the caress of it
the slanting sunlight
that pierces through
these wide windows

my skin feels at rest
under its soft touch
this warmth of love
radiance of Nature
that kisses me lightly

are you a beam of it
the light of the sun
that invades my room
and envelopes it all
in a golden embrace

as i see you in the day
that is clear as the sky
my voice is a whisper
for i don't want to lose
this slow sunlit dream

so i look at you all lit
in the essence of sun
and this gold melts
to water in your eyes
weaving golden lies

we're basking in it
the kiss of summer
and i drink all of it
you and the sunlight
for it's the beginnin'

the beginning of us
and the summer too
so my eyes stay open
as a bewildered deer
lookin' at the sunrise

sun's just comin' out
i keep my eyes open
for it's way too early
to blink and lose it all
to a winter that waits

inevitably waits for
this summer to end
in its so cold arms
for me to wake up
and find you gone

Listening to 'Start of Time' by Gabrielle Aplin. 💕

How's this poem? It just came to me and I'm not so sure about it. I've just taken the risk of updating it. I hope it doesn't let you down. :x I tried my hand at poetry after so long. I hope I do it more often now. Thanks for believing in me. :')

You, the lovely readers, are Hazel's most treasured asset and she doesn't want to lose you all at any cost. You keep her alive and going. Lots of love for all of you. ❤

P.S What's your favourite season? Oh and I'm watching Teen Wolf right now. Anyone? :)

Much love,
Hazel *-*
