i recall the dense fog
of my confused life
and i recall that
you were blinking
your headlights
to make me move
as i was in your way
but i was stuck
so you knocked me
all the way down
and crushed me
under the weight
of your presence
in that dense fog
of my confused lifei recall lying there
on the cold concrete
with a blanket of
cold, oh very cold fog
and i swear that
i'd never been so cold
in that dense fog
of my confused life
as i was that day
while i lay there
on the cold concrete
with a blanket of
cold, oh very cold fogi recall that i was sick
deep inside my soul
for i couldn't erase
the image of you
blinkin' your indicators
those yellow ones
as you retreated back
to the safety of your
crystal clear highways
and drove away from
that cold dense fog
of my confused lifei recall the faded trail
of your strong tyres
right beside me
on the cold concrete
and i recall the image
of your red tail lights
that my eyes lost
as soon as you were
not in sight anymore
and not to be found
somewhere, anywhere,
in that dense fog
of my confused lifei recall that i was cold
and i missed your horn
and your swift drifts
and your lush interior
covered by an exterior
ever so glossy black
and i missed you
as my engine coughed
its last breath
'n' left me irrepairable
in the dense fog
of my confused lifeAuthor's Note
Another metaphorical poem. I hope you get what it means. Do tell me as well. :D
How was it? =) Should I do more metaphorical poems or not?
Much Love,
Hazel ❤
